Let's think this through about credibility, guys.

Both sides are making contradictory claims and it’s almost impossible to know who to trust.

On the one hand, you have George Kent, a career Foreign Service officer whose entire family served in the armed forces, including an uncle who was at Pearl Harbor and survived the Bataan Death March, and on the other hand, you have a bone spurs draft dodger whose dad got arrested at a KKK riot.

Then there’s this fellow Bill Taylor who served as a Captain and company commander in Vietnam and who was awarded a Bronze Star, but then again, Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana and numerous other women have said that he sexually assaulted them....

Real American heroes vs. Captain Bonespur

The others may be coming. I expect so.
Well, I guess that Republicans were in those closed door session. Did Republicans put those witnesses in their list of witnesses for the public testimonies?
If not, why not?

If they did, and if Schiff rejected them, then I guess the Republicans can bring them up as witnesses in the Senate trial, if it gets that far.

In all reality the ONLY way to properly try Donald J. Trump is to go back and describe the path of every subatomic particle in the universe since the beginning of time. We have to see ALL the information. ALL OF IT. In fact ALL INFORMATION (except DJT's taxes of course, but that's only because they are under audit).

But if you didn't see every bit of it yourself, then it is just hearsay and thus an obvious smear campaign.

A coup is an effort against the legality and efficiency of the State first and foremost.

Trump and his supporters are engaged in a coup against the American state.
Incorrect.

Trump and his supporters are engaged in removing the "Deep State" ... some call it the "swamp" ... those who for reasons known mostly to themselves, have an aggrandized sense of entitlement to permanent political control regardless of election outcome.

There is no "Deep State". Trump's use the term seems to be that those who are not loyal to him over the constitution and the Republic are part of a clandestine government. But he is not a king. He and all who work in the administration should be loyal to the country and the constitution first...

And Trump made the swamp worse by bringing in more lobbyist types

What We Found in Trump’s Drained Swamp: Hundreds of Ex-Lobbyists and D.C. Insiders — ProPublica

Today we’re making available, for the first time, an authoritative searchable database of 2,475 political appointees, including Trump’s Cabinet, staffers in the White House and senior officials within the government, along with their federal lobbying and financial records. Trump Town is the result of a year spent filing hundreds of Freedom of Information Act requests; collecting and organizing staffing lists; and compiling, sifting through and publishing thousands of financial disclosure reports.

Here’s what we found: At least 187 Trump political appointees have been federal lobbyists, and despite President Trump’s campaign pledge to “drain the swamp,” many are now overseeing the industries they once lobbied on behalf of. We’ve also discovered ethics waivers that allow Trump staffers to work on subjects in which they have financial conflicts of interest. In addition, at least 254 appointees affiliated with Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and at least 125 staffers from prominent conservative think tanks are now working in the federal government, many of whom are on teams to repeal Obama-era regulations.
I think he is the most corrupt of all. And his use of Giuliani is an example of a 'deep state' outside of government type of action.

I am absolutely correct that Trump and his supporters are engaged in overthrowing the legitimate government nd processes of the US for their own power and enrichment. Trump does believe in his own superiority and right to rule despite the election of 2018 that has resulted in impeachment proceedings.

The most corrupt president in American history must indeed be hard at work (in between playing more golf than any other president in history) 'draining the swamp' of all those terrible people. It's a shame his supporters and campaign members keep getting sent to prison, otherwise maybe it would be moving faster!

All Democrats need to do then is run a less corrupt politician, someone of unimpeachable honesty.

Let's see how the current front-runners stack up:
Joe Biden: Only a couple of billion dollars of pay-offs involving Ukraine and China.
Warren: Decades of pretending to be native American for personal benefit
Sanders: Decades amassing personal wealth as a public servant
Buttigieg: ??? So new to the game, his corruptibility quotient is unknown.
Klobuchar: Maybe clean but she's not gotten a lot of attention.
Gabbard: Ostensibly, the least corrupt of the bunch ... but not exactly a front-runner ... and under attack from Hillary and her corrupt associates.

Complete nonsense.

Complete nonsense.
Sanders: Decades amassing personal wealth as a public servant
Complete nonsense.

I know it must be difficult finding yourself in the position of being a cheerleader for the most corrupt president in US history, but it doesn't mean you have to copy his loose relationship with the truth too.

Only to those who willingly refuse to acknowledge what actually happened.

I'll just go through each of your points in turn.

Joe Biden: Only a couple of billion dollars of pay-offs involving Ukraine and China.

Joe Biden has not received billions from anyone. This falsehood by Trump apparently originates from a Shanghai-based private-equity company, BHR Equity Investment Fund Management Company who were trying to raise $1.5b. Hunter Biden is a board member and owns 10% of the company. According to his lawyers, he invested around half a million into the company and has not received any money back to date.

If you'd like to explain exactly how Hunter Biden having 10% stock in a company that tried to raise $1.5b somehow equates to JOE Biden receiving billions, then I'd love to hear it. Please provide evidence of anything you claim however.

Warren: Decades of pretending to be native American for personal benefit

Elizabeth Warren never received any money due to her Native American heritage. This has been confirmed by the people who actually employed her and therefore actually know what they're talking about.

Sanders: Decades amassing personal wealth as a public servant

This is just ridiculous to the point that I'm actually amazed you weren't embarrased to write it. Bernie Sanders has a net worth of around $2m dollars. $1m of which he only received in 2016 after his book was extremely popular.

So apparently the guy who spent 16 years as a congressman, and the subsequent 12 as a senator, managed to amass a grand total of $1m total net worth. After 28 years of public service at the national level. Wow, what a grifter..

What topic did you want for this thread?

Biden didn't do billions in pay-offs. That is a right wing fabrication. He was representing the US government, and had the backing of the IMF and EU. AND the money went to the Ukraine governement and Biden didn't get a thing personally from it. Nor did his son. Biden (representing the Obama administration) wanted that prosecutor fired because he was NOT investigating Burisma.

In contrast, Trump withheld military funding to a country in a war for months and months because he wanted a political rival investigated due to a conspiracy theory started by Putin! That 'crowdstrike theory' went from Putin to Kilimnic to Manafort to Giuliani to Trump. How embarrassing! Putin is probably laughing his head off.

These claims he makes have been refuted before(good job doing it again), yet he keeps repeating them. It's the only argument he has, which speaks volumes.
