Let us not forget that everytime we are in a Church, Jesus is present in the Eucharist body, blood, soul, and divinity. It is really the same thing as the picture, except He is sacramentally present instead of present in all of His majesty and glory.

exactly!! During the last presidential the person who lost was in Lorain over 10,000 people went to see him and there is seldom over 2 people in our perpetual adoration chapel ~ go figure!

I would fall on my knees and behold Him with awe. I would ask Him to have mercy on me a sinner, and thank Him for every ounce of goodness that I have been able to experience because of His abundant love and mercy. Then I would ask Him, if He would embrace me.

how would you know it was JESUS if he wasn't dressed that way?? plus look at my CF characator ~ it is the way i prefer to dress.

Well, how do we know the Eucharist is Jesus? But for the sake of art, I think the demeanor, the posing, the nail marks in the hands, a glow and perhaps a bit of the traditional art Trinity halo might get the point across.

If Jesus was walking down the street in jeans, would we recognize Him? The people of the time he walked the earth had to discern him when he was dressed just like the rest of them.

good question. if HE was walking down the street in normal clothes and hair style and no marks on HIS hands would we recognize HIM? I think i might recognize HIM in a pub. HE would be the one telling parables and/or asking penetrating questions.
