As far as I understand
because of the sacrifice of Jesus, Abba our true Father
sees us pure and innocent washed clean by the blood of Christ.

To live innocently and in the way of holiness as you endeavor to do
does that make you innocent? SK8joyful.

So intellectually we can't say I am innocent not knowing good and evil.
There is nothing wrong with this in and of itself. Jesus said:
Matthew 10:16

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves;
so be shrewd as serpents (using our knowledge of good and evil) and innocent as doves.

So our knowledge does not detract from 'living innocent', that is

In my opinion when we give our lives fully to Christ in all things we live purely and innocent.
I like the term 'spiritual childhood'. We become 'little' ones of the Lord
following Him everywhere and learning from Him, trusting in Him.

At the quick glance at your conversation it seems that discussion is about living as "innocent children". I kindly disagree with this definition. Anyone who was in the company of a little "innocent" child knows that he is capable of malice. It's no secret that young mother's job description includes teaching their young children what they should not do. "Don't hit your brother", Don't kick the cat", "Don't lie", Don't take that toy away from your baby sister", etc. Where did they learn all that? No one had to teach them to bite, kick, hurt or hit. They do that because sin is in their DNA. We are programmed to sin. Eventually, "innocent" children learn how to sin more and in the more sophisticated manner. We ultimately become a slave to sin. But Jesus has a power to set us free. It's not free, in sense that I no longer sin. Because I am still in the same flesh, same DNA, I still am capable of sin. But now I understand what is sin and I have an option not to sin (Romans). But only Jesus lived a sinless life. We can't do that, yet. “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1John1:8). Per 1John, saying that we live innocently, is a deception. That is why we need the Word to cleanse us daily. And we need also to confess our sins daily.
When Jesus was referring to little children He said this
“I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:1-4. This has to do with the attitude. A little boy asks a question because he really wants to know. A thirteen year old wants to play gotcha. A senior in high school already knows the answer and knows you’re wrong. Etc. So, Jesus want us to humble ourselves and to be teachable.

I remember one of my brothers in the faith had a sign on his door that he made.

God's unconditional love calls for our unconditional trust.

Today (even sick with more LUNG, & LEG Blood-clots, &
unable to breathe, & feeling faint in stores), yet
I ventured forth to have our home smell Festive...

Today, I bought:
1. a pot with Marjoram, Sage, & Thyme -> what Heavenly aromas...
&
2. a potted Beautiful *variegated* RED & Cream Poinsettias
&
3. a wiffle EVERGREEN-wreath, to put one of our many Candles inside.

Also we have 3 (hand-made) Christmas Trees UP
all year round. Just gotta Add lights!

Too, I share with the homeless: Gingerbread-cookies &
MinthotChocolate & Stollen & nuts & Cranberries & Eggnog

They had singing, jerk chicken, rice and peas for the supper and all the assorted Christmas cookies and cakes. It was enjoyed by the clients. I was too busy to join in but managed to grab a Christmas cookie at the end

Last Sunday, at the Wof-church I'm starting to befriend,
(well, I had Auditioned for, & was Accepted as a 1st. Soprano
as part of the Christmas choir,
but had to withdraw due to Emergency surgery). Anyway,
last Sunday they had their Christmas-program, & it was so WELL DONE
They presented it, with
3-groups: a teenage-girl, a homeless man, & an old lady;
(all of course, church members).
The object being that as the choir sang, & BEBE Jesus
was born, etc.
people were encouraged to also become REborn and too we sang... in the audience.

When I sing: I LOVE Thee Lord Jesus it's with ALL I am.
And you know what is *precious*: We are each accepted as Jesus' friends...

It must be great to have a wonderful singing voice. I used to sing with the Franciscans at the mass and during our prayer sessions we sang in the chapel. I'm actually not to bad. I could not be a tenor but maybe a nine-or
My Aunt Pat thinks I have a heavenly voice because my voice is so gentle I think. I find that there are times in singing it really brings out my devotion and feelings and on a few occasions well singing I had tears in my eyes.

Also when I sing I do my very best because I am singing for God just like the Little Drummer boy drumming for the baby Jesus

On a side note I like the drum and had one but my neighbor upstairs was really sensitive to noise at my old place so I sold my drum :/
It was ceramic and goat skin. It works best when the goat skin was heated up a bit by placing the ceramic drum over a burner.

Once when I was on retreat in the states I stayed with the Benedictines, they rose at 3 am for prayer. I went to one of their early prayer sessions. It was in a cave that was lit by candles and the cave was hewed out and acoustically excellent. They sang Salve Regina and chants and it was very heavenly

Hi Forge,

I don't know how to live, except giving my all to Jesus, or whomever or whatever.
So with my heart Open, crying is common for me, which can be disastrous:
as being small I too have a soft voice. So when I sing Solos,
if I cry - my voice might crack , soo embarassing. - And in the past 1/2 year,
my voice took a nose-dive , so I couldn't muster a high-C, at all.
Not doing, at all well, adjusting to a voice-drop. - At my audition in Sept,
I got to an F fine, so hopefully with practice, I could raise it.
(the current choir only has one Soprano, singing 1st; but she's a Mezzo-soprano).
As a large woman, she can sorta get it up there, if supported by the choir.
So me having to withdraw, wasn't that great, as the others sing definitely 2nd. soprano or alto.
I felt so bad, as I've never withdrawn before. - However, they were very forgiving, &
have already invited me to sing a Solo, or 3 um, I better get my act in gear!

Yes, the churches I've sung nearly all my Solos in were acoustically excellent,
so even as petite as my voice is, I didn't need a microphone.
(I sang as a missionary in a small chapel in Montreal, in 1977 on Christmas Eve: yet God carried my voice a mile down the road... & people came from that far away even as all the seats were taken.)

This church I'm in now, is HUGE :o so everyone needs to use a microphone.
I wonder what kind of a Voice-adjustment, for a Solo, that takes?

ookay, Now I understand: "nine-or , or tenor ten-or " ; so you sing BASE?

I used to sing wonderful duets with a gifted Tenor,
who had to tone-down his powerful :o voice, so we could both be heard equally.

I have not read "Story of a soul" yet.

(I haven't done much reading for quite some time; as
that was affected by something previously. - Subsequently,
I'm pretty much on the go, go & more go. Like this is my latest Commission)

God called you to Him as a little child and than gave you the calling to raise little ones

Not everyone can do this with grace and love. That is definitely from the Lord.




I recall my mother telling me that one of the young kids was being taught the sacraments(10 years old I think) I know not a child, and he was asked where God is present (i.e. the sacraments) and the young one said "Where is God not present", that silenced the teacher. And God can speak through His very little ones too
