so many loops of Small-intestine CAUGHT in a very tiny hole, &
Not even the Surgeon could push them back in; & said:
My god!, this thing's been like that for ages,
Concerned how much  of my gut might be dead, they asked:
HOW in the world did you live with it this long?!?" - I said
'with  GOD ALL things are possible...'

The surgeon, once he cut me open, saw a large-% had died, but
there was enough *vascular Exchange* back & forth, that he thought,
given my over-all Health, I would be able to Replace dead tissues, with new  on my own. -
(Also I have 3 months Free$Follow-up visits, I just found out.)
But obviously he discharged me, only 9 days after surgery. -
And after day 3, I stopped the oxycodone cold-turkey, & took no pain-killers since.

That all to say, considering I had complications for 5-7 yrs. BEFORE,
except for not drinking enuf, I am doing pretty good now. PRAISE  God!

The 'small intestine' sits below the stomach

whereafter, it becomes the large intestine

The 'small intestine' continues to absorb nutrient following the digestive processes of the stomach

Peristalsis [the autonomous muscular movement of intestines] would cease in any 'dead areas' of small intestine
ie: loops of anything around three and five inches
of intestinal length that suffered such an asphyxiation, would suffer necrosis
and the intestinal tract would then become prone to gangrene

The digestational process adds nutrient absorbed, direct into the blood stream
If processing ceases below the stomach, the stomach swells with content
reflux and excess gas occurs

The kidneys would be water-rationed...
~with a consequence of toxaemia and even failure

The body can manage for around ONLY three weeks, without food
and ONLY a matter of days without water
On the way to, those limits, however...
'marked changes' in the mind and body, will, take-place
including delirium and organ failure

I know not how you survived

His work is truly miraculous
Amen

How wonderful
the Lord with all His boundless knowledge and wisdom leads us on the path of simplicity.
How wonderful that our creator Who has endless power is so gentle.
Praise to our Father through our savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
All True. it is Amazing :) when you think of it:

God/Jesus KNOWS EVERYthing, yet He says to us:
Here,
with this Soul, I created for you -you can choose being Saved
with this Mind, I created for you, -you can choose being happy
with this Body, I created for you, -you can choose being healthy
and
then, He blessed us with this wonderful earth, for us to further discover how...
and
too like you said: God/Jesus has endless power, yet He is soo  gentle:
(instead of instant obliteration), God Birthed as a NEWBORN... epitome  of gentleness...

Hi Forge,

Soon, people who posted in my 1st. thread will return: Merlin, Maria, Brenda, & others

After I posted about my 1st. surgery, & (from 5+yrs. complications,
from a strangulated Inguinal hernia),
how the surgeon on day 9 Discharged me, my life resume...

(The system encounters me as a 60yr.old lady, who
must be barely moving with that fresh 4-inch sutured wound,
as most such people have to be begged, & prodded to only MOVE; per his expectation)

Imagine his Surprise :D when I said I had but 2 Essential questions:
1. will this 3x6-inch polypropylene Fishing mesh now in me,
Limit my Flex-ability to any degree, temporarily or permanently;
because IF it does, you need to remove it!
and
2. WHEN can I restart my training as an iceSkater ?

Um, he was stunned! <- I have a habit of doing that to people, LOL

Then he said
1. re the mesh: I like your spunkiness; and just so you know, lots of athletes have this
inside them, but NONE are stopped by it, so you can be whatever Contortionist you want.

So what specifically are you aiming for? -> I asked: Do you watch Olympic Figureskating?
Yes. - Ever watched Sasha Cohen? - Yes, he grinned... I said she's my Example  &
I'm determined to also own the Biehlmann Spiral. - He wanted an explanation;
instead I went to Demonstrate (Now understand, I do it with my Right free-leg;
which is where my groin fresh surgical-incision is); so he stopped me.

and

2. re WHEN can I resume practices... ? - He said: Listen,
if I had a skater in their Olympic Trial year, I would tell them the SAME:
'it's only been NINE-days since surgery; cut yourself some slack...'
It takes the average/Non-sport person, at least a month to feel 1/2way normal, &
6 months to resume their lifestyle; but I realize you are anything, but NORMAL.

So the surgeon added: Obviously, I'm discharging you from surgical-services, with
these Cautions:
((As a skater, well used to bumps & bruises, obviously they don't bother you.)) So
1. WHEN you get Tired, REST...
&
2. IF you feel sharp pain, STOP. - Common sense!, & you have the advantage of training...
__________________________ and then he said:

Have Fun! Carpe Diem!! ;) Go for it, tiger :D I wish you ALL the best

So yes, Forge: All my friends Edify  for JOY

What a special time of year.
Jesus born into the world, and living in our hearts. :)

nativity-1.jpg
What a Demonstration/lesson in *innocence*:
God/Jesus always was & continues ^

In a sense, we are also born innocent; then lose it.
On becoming christians, & Christ accepting us as HIS *friends* are we again innocent?

I asked this same question, on the school bus when I was 16.
And have thought about it ever since, trying my best to live innocent.

What do you think, Forge? :)

As far as I understand because of the sacrifice of Jesus, Abba our true Father sees us pure and innocent washed clean by the blood of Christ. This is all our Lord's work.

On a side note, that is reason for our celebration and exultation, nothing that we did or can take credit for so our celebration has no trace of boasting or vanity in it. It is in a way like little child getting gifts for its birthday. It is nothing the child did to earn them, it is because the child is loved by its parents they give joyfully to their beloved.

To live innocently and in the way of holiness as you endeavor to do does that make you innocent? I'll do my best to explain my understanding here SK8joyful.

in·no·cent (n-snt)
adj.
1. Uncorrupted by evil, malice, or wrongdoing; sinless: an innocent child.
2.
a. Not guilty of a specific crime or offense; legally blameless: was innocent of all charges.
b. Within, allowed by, or sanctioned by the law; lawful.
3.
a. Not dangerous or harmful; innocuous: an innocent prank.
b. Candid; straightforward: a child's innocent stare.
4.
a. Not experienced or worldly; naive.
b. Betraying or suggesting no deception or guile; artless.
5.
a. Not exposed to or familiar with something specified; ignorant: American tourists wholly innocent of French.
b. Unaware: She remained innocent of the complications she had caused.
6. Lacking, deprived, or devoid of something: a novel innocent of literary merit.
n.
1. A person, especially a child, who is free of evil or sin.
2. A simple, guileless, inexperienced, or unsophisticated person.
3. A very young child.

We are not innocent by definition in terms of being 'naive' as we know what the wages of sin buy and have the knowledge of good and evil that Adam and Eve gained by eating the forbidden fruit. So intellectually we can't say I am innocent not knowing good and evil. There is nothing wrong with this in and of itself. Jesus said:

Matthew 10:16
New American Standard Bible (©1995)
"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents (using our knowledge of good and evil) and innocent as doves.

So our knowledge does not detract from 'living innocent', that is 1. Uncorrupted by evil, malice, or wrongdoing; sinless: an innocent child.

In my opinion when we give our lives fully to Christ in all things we live purely and innocent. I like the term 'spiritual childhood'. We become 'little' ones of the Lord following Him everywhere and learning from Him, trusting in Him.

I hope this helps I did not mean to write a book about it just really have not thought about this much until you asked the question :o
