Well here's a thought along those lines... I heard one paster once ask something like, "When you get up in the morning, are you the person that asks God, 'Is today the day you'll return?' Are you the person that is waiting excitedly each day for Christ's return?"

I often find, even now as I just read your post lol, that I often forget about it. But why shouldn't I be excited? I want him to come so badly because I so desire to be in his presence. And I ask myself, "Am I living each day for God like it's my last? Am I giving him as much glory as I can before I'm taken up?"

I think about Jesus coming back pretty often. I find it is a belief that is motivating to do something in His service. I have had dreams that it's the rapture but I'm left behind or something, so I just run around and witness to anyone who will listen to me.

An example of expecting Christ to return and not know when, I have the following story.
On Sundays, when my little boys go to their Sunday School class they are usually a bit hesitant to stay, but then their Sunday school teacher occupies them and then they're ok. Well, as soon as the service is over I go back to their room and go pick them up. The wide-eyed look of suprise and excitement as they see their father and I is awesome. :) While they're busy drawing art or whatever it is that they're doing for their Sunday school lessons, I just pop in unexpectedly and then it's time for us to go home. :)
