Our Father which art in Heaven,
    Hallowed be thy name.
    Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
    AS it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
    And forgive our debts,
    AS we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
    BUT deliver us from evil:
    for Thine is the Kingdom,
    and the Power,
    and the Glory,
    For ever and ever,
    AMEN

and how is that dif. from

Our Father, we honor Your holy name.
We ask that Your kingdom will come now.
May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.
Give us our food today as usual, and forgive us our sins, just as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us. Don't bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Amen

It doesn't say anything wrong, but I'm just saying, that if a verse says what it's supposed to say, no matter what version it is, then I'm "okle-dokle" with it :D;):)

You can post a link to a URL in relation to the thread as long as it's not your website so you won't be self promoting.

BTW Isn't the Lord's prayer John 17?That is where He prayed for us believers.

I think Matthew 6:9-13 must be classified as the Lord's model prayer for He himself did not pray this but said you must pray this way.

    JMHO:)

    (please no flaming):)

"Of course, your convictions my be different-- To each Their own."

lol...nice disclaimer :D And I've learned the prayer both ways - I think when we fuss over translation we miss the point, and for many, sticking to KJV keeps them outta those rough waters. Best if we respect that decision. :) Not all of us think alike, and praise God for it! (thinks of tons of Whitneys running around and shudders)

And ..."For Thine is the Kingdom..."

Praise God in Heaven :D I would ask for no other way to have it!
He is so awesome that it blows my mind...

I remember reading somewhere i sign posted above the door of a church that said something like this:

"If every Christian was like you... would you want to remain a Christian?"

and on the exit of the door is said:
"If ever member of the church was like you... would you want to remain a member of the church?"

    I LOVE THOSE!!!!
but it stupped on some toes and they were taken down...
