  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There are eight "I ams" in the NT. 7 in John and 1 in Rev
1. 6:48 The bread of life
2. 8:12 The light of the world
3. 10:7 The door of the sheep
4. 10:11 The good shepherd
5. 11:25 The resurrection and the life
6. 14:6 The way, and the truth, and the life
7. 15:1 The true vine
The number 7 represents completeness.
The number 8 represents new beginning.
8. Rev 22:16 The root and the descendant of David, the bright and morning star.

is it possible that 'I am' is the name of God?
according to aristotle the name of God is aion which means 'always existing'.
In exodus God says that his name is 'I am that I am'.

could it be that Jesus was saying that 'I am' is the bread of life and the door and the light...

Jesus the Bread of Life

John 5:25-59

Jesus is the very Word of God.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

He is the One who came forth from the bossom of the Father, thereby he is known as the Son of God.

Just as when Gods Word proceeds out of his mouth, it then becomes the Son.

By Him(the very Word of God) all things were created.

Just as the Son (Word of God) was with the Father in the very beginning.

That is how Jesus could say, "before Abraham was, I AM."

Jesus the Bread of Life

John 5:25-59

When people hunger for righteousness , to make things right with God, the bible is the bread that feeds them. The bible is their doctrine of knowledge and when the spirit comes to light it is their DAILY bread. The teachings are in a graven image set against the living image. Jesus is the knowledge of the living word, the word of the father in heaven so he is the bread of life. When people thirst for knowledge of God the teachings fall like rain and the waters are the waters of affliction but with wisdom, the waters of wisdom, the teachings are alive so again Jesus is the living waters, the fountian of living waters. If you are void of understanding you are in darkness but if you understand you are in the light and Jesus is that true light and there is no other way to the father but threw that light.

Jesus the Bread of Life

John 5:25-59
Amen. :)
It's very interesting though that Jesus Christ is saying:
I am the bread of life(John 6:35)
I am the light of the world (John 8:12)
...
He always starts with 'I am', which in Hebrew means 'Jehovah/JHWH' - the name of the God, and then He is adding something for man.
It looks like Jesus Christ is opening to people that He is God which is reaching man, providing and supplying all what they need.
That is exactly the Grace of God, isn't it?
