Because I am a new Believer in christ,Many of my hindu friends ask me ,What is the need to convert from one religion to another as in my case,?Well Brethren I do not no what to tell of the criticisms i Face,But I got attracted towards Jesus and I love HIM More than anything on this earth,So my brothers and sisters in Christ,Please tell me what made you people think that Jesus is the only true God?I have read the bible,So that is also one of the reasons why I feel Jesus obviously could be the only True God,But what made you brethren to know that Jesus is the only true God,Please write your personal encounters or any incidents in your life that convinced you that Jesus is the only true God,It is my curious request
After seeking wisdom very very widely, from around the world, like The Tao (Lao Tzu), and Emerson the transcendentalist, philosophers, various religious texts....
I found that Jesus of Nazareth was an intersection of many of the best ideas of all of them -- what they have in common at their best.
So I decided to test out His sayings that I wasn't sure about, the more radical ones, like this part --
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 "But I tell you, love your enemies ..."
!
I did not really expect it to work, and it was very hard to get myself to do it genuinely, but finally I tried, with not only showing love, but also even finding sympathy in my heart for that person that showed against me antagonism and disrespect for years....
So I loved him. Made it clear in my attitude and regard and actions. And nourished it in my heart even. All the way. One of the hardest things to do I've ever done (at that time I did not yet fully have complete belief in Christ).
I was totally surprised by what happened then.
This enemy suddenly changed entirely towards me, and became truly friendly, and even loving (!)....
It was shocking.
So, see, I tested, and then I tested more....
That helped. It made me carefully read more and more of what Jesus said.
What Christ Jesus says
works better than other beliefs. Here and now.
But to find God, the only true God, which we all seek, we have to seek Him with all of our hearts. All the way, without holding back. We have to be willing to do right.
