Jesus is a Friend

In the last little while I have posted a lot on "Friends" and "Love". But tonight I pulled out the old Unabridged and was surprised when I read the definition. Seems I have had the wrong idea all along about what a friend is.

But I am not wrong about what a "brother/sister" is. The Bible is clear about that. And the Bible says there is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. No THAT is a friend. That is Jesus.

When others leave you and turn a deaf ear to your plea's, Jesus will NEVER do that. He is always there loving, and fogiving and building you up. He will never desert you or try to ruin you or destroy you or falsely accuse you. Jesus is a Friend, like no friend we can ever have.

I know now, if Jesus is my friend, I have everything I need in this life.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Thanks for that Scripture Kim! Isn't it a joy to know that we have one friend that KNOWS the truth about us and ALL about us and still loves us and does not leave us nor deny us for the things we do wrong. Instead when we confess He always forgives us, not in word only but in DEED and in Truth.
