For several years I was addicted to slot machine gambling. I spent all my extra money on slot machines, and would work hard all week, only to spend my entire paycheck at the casino also. Now I am repulsed by the idea of it, but at the time I couldn't get enough of it.

I would go through anxiety about losing the money while I was in the casino, and depression when I ran out of money, but I could never pull myself away from the machines. I was enchanted by the lights and action.

Then for several years, I stopped going to the casino, but the addiction never went away. I believe I needed God to make it completely go away. I stopped physically going to the casino. Then I got married to a god-fearing man, and forgot about the casino for several years.

Out of the clear blue, one day I resumed online slot machines. This time I didn't play for money, I played with "fun money" just for the experience of spinning the wheel. That is how addicted I truly was. It was only a matter of time before this behavior would turn into playing for real money again if God hadn't have intervened.

I prayed about it. Then one night, I had a vivid dream, clear as day, that was God telling me I wouldn't spend another penny on casinos for the rest of my life. When I woke up in the morning, I signed myself out of all online casinos. At first, the temptation was still there to go back, but over time the urge completely went away. It was gone, and I could feel it. The Lord had taken it from me.

Now I am completely free of any urges or addiction. I don't ever think about gambling, or miss it. I am free.
