Hi all,

As a commited Christian, I believe in the infinite power and reach
of Jesus Christ.

However, recently a friend of mine asked me a difficult question :

Can the divinity of Jesus be brought to electronic documents and comnmunications?

We can have our physical possesions blessed, and you can have a minister visit your home to bless your artifacts. You can even have a resume blessed for a job application, so what's the difference between this and electronic files?

regards,
Darragh

True.

But technology itself does not have a Christian benefit. Is it not the intentions of the users that make it Christian.

My question is whether or not an instance of technology (like this forum), can be considered 'blessed'?

The Internet has much on it that is both good and evil.

Think back to the situation in Corinth. It was a city which was reknowned for its sexual excess. The Greek language developed a verb, korinthiazomai, which meant "to live like a Corinthian in the practice of sexual immorality." (Zondervan NIV Commentary)

There was much that was good and Holy in Corinth, just as there is on the Internet. There was also much sin and evil.

Things haven't changed, just the speed at which we do them.

That said, If we bless something inanimate are we not imputing Holieness on it? Isn't that Idolatry?

This self promotion hardly answers my question.

Looking at your site, I find it hard to believe that it has been touched by anything remotely spiritual.
