Approximate Nisan 14 timeline:
Nisan 14 begans at sundown. Jesus eats his last supper with his chosen 12 (6-9pm). They go the Garden of Gethsemane & Jesus prays (9pm -midnight) He is aressted (midnight) the Priests arrest, accuse, abuse & condemn Him (midnight-6am). Hes taken to Pilate questioned, abused, scourged & sentenced to death (6am til 8am). Nailed to the cross (9am) suffers and dies at (3pm) all on Nisan 14.

2017: Thurs 4/6/17 (Nisan 10) the Pasover Lamb would be chosen. Mon 4/10/17 is Nisan 14 lamb would be killed.

For 1500 yrs on Nisan 10 a Passover Lamb is chosen (Ex 12). It is inspected for any blemish until Nisan 14. When the actual sacrifice is made (Lev 23:5)

It was on Nisan 10 (Palm Sunday) That Jesus (God's chosen Lamb) entered the city gates. Jesus was inspected for blemishes by the pharisees the sadducees (Mk 12:17 & 25) And proved to be faultless/without blemish.

Thursday evening (Nisan 14) at sundown (6pm day begins) Jesus shares His last meal with His disciples. Next they go to the Garden of Gethsemane(9 pm). Jesus is then assested (12 am) and brought to the Priests. They abuse Him til (6am)

Early in the morning they take Him to Pontius Pilate (6am). Jesus is beaten, mocked, scourged and forced to carry His Cross through the streets. He's nailed to the cross (9am) and suffers in agony for hours. At 3pm proclaims; It is Finished, and dies.

Temple law tradition. At early lite on Nisan 14 the sinless chosen lamb was marched up the ramp into the Temple.

Early am on Nisan 14 Jesus was carring his cross, marching up the hill to Calvary.

At 9am on Nisan 14 the Temple Priest tied the lamb to a stake to be sacrificed. And the shofar (rams horn/trump) is blown. So all the people knew the lamb is prepared to be sacrificed.

At 9am on Nisan 14 Jesus the Lamb of God is tied and nailed to the cross.
Mark 15:25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

At 12 noon darkness covers the whole earth. As Jesus is being prepared to die & atone for the sins of ALL mankind. Remember, Jesus was born at midnite, the Wise men followed the ""STAR"" of Bethlehem. And nite shined like daytime.

At 3pm on Nisan 14 the Temple Priest brings a sharp knife and kills the sinless lamb. Again, the shofar (rams horn/trump) is blown. So, all the people know the lamb as been sacrificed.

Now the Priest turns faces the people, lifts up his hands and head toward Heaven and proclaimes. It is finished.

At 3pm on Nisan 14 Jesus Christ hears the Temple trump and in a loud voice. Proclaims: IT IS FINISHED! (MARK 15:25-37) and dies.

Next, a great earthquake happens and the Veil in the Temple is torn in 1/2. (Matt 27:51) Old covenant levitical priesthood sacrifical system ends. New Covenant begings and now we can boldly go to the Throne of God. (Heb 4:16)

Jesus redemptive sacrifical sin atonment, fulfilled the laws required payment/wage for sin, death (Rom 6:23).

1 Corinthians 5:7 (B) For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Anyone that places their faith in the redemptive sin atoning sacrifice. Found in the Death, Burial & Resurrection of Jesus the Christ. Receives a full pardon of "ALL" thier sins, Past-Present-Future.

Make today your day: See how Here
Romans 10:
8 The word is near you, even in your mouth, & in your heart: that is, the word of faith we preach

9 If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, & believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you will be saved

10 For with the heart man believes to righteousness; & with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
(GOD CREDITS OUR BELIEF IN JESUS RESURRECTION WITH A DECLARATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. SALVATION COMES WHEN WE CONFESS JESUS AS LORD)

13 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
(CONFESS JESUS DEATH, BURIAL & RESURRECTION & BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE GRAVE. AND YOU WILL BE SAVED!)

Could you provide a primary Jewish source for this information? I have heard this for decades but have never been able to find a source from the Temple era that proves this.

1 Corinthians 5:7 (B) For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:Anyone that places their faith in the redemptive sin atoning sacrifice.

The Passover lamb is not remotely akin to a sin offering in terms of the disposition of it in the Temple.

The Passover lamb is closest to a Peace Offering.

Mr. Petersen,

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that """Christ died for our sins""" according to the scriptures;

Ephesians 1:7 In whom """we have redemption through his blood""" """the forgiveness of sins""", according to the riches of his grace;

1 Peter 3:18 For """Christ also hath once suffered for sins""", the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1 Peter 2:24 (A) """Who his own self bare our sins""" in his own body on the tree,

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and """sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins""".

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath """he appeared to put away sin""" """by the sacrifice of himself""".

Hebrews 10:12 But this man, """after he had offered one sacrifice for sins""" for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

All the above recorded scripture written by Jews.

The non-scriptural anti-Christ Rabbinical spin of a peace offering is, well, anti-Christ Rabbinical spin.

I wasn't referring to the atonement, but to the 'It is finished' part when the actual lamb was slaughtered. What literary sources from the era of the Temple confirm this?

Resurrection When?

Hello again Adstar,
OMER WAVE FIRST FRUITS
Levitius 23:
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
(THE PRIEST IS TO BRING A FIRST FRUITS SHEAF WAVE OFFERING)

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
(NOTE: THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH)

12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
(WAVE THE SHEAF BEFORE THE LORD THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH)

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
(FIRST FRUITS OMER COUNT/WAVE TO PENTECOST BEGINGS ON THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH)

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
(ON THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH)

CHRIST THE FIRST FRUITS
1 Corinthians 15:
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
(CHRIST THE FIRST FRUIT)

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
(CHRIST THE FIRST FRUIT)

JESUS OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST (Heb 4:14 & 5:1) BRINGS A FIRST FRUITS OFFERING BEFORE THE FATHER

Matthew 27:
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
(CHRIST OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST. RISES ON FIRST FRUITS THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH. BRINGS A FIRST FRUITS WAVE OFFERING WITH HIM)

Christs resurrection is on the day after the sabbath = Sunday. Then the omer count to Penecost begins. The first Pentecost (always on SUNDAY the 1st day of the week) Is where the Holy Spirit is 1st poured out. And the Christian Church is Born.

The very 1st Pentecost was on Mt. Sinai. Moses brings & gives the Law. And the Nation of Israel is born.

Adstar, The 7 Feasts of the Lord form the foundations of all Prophecy. And the foundation upon which ALL Scripture is built.

1)Passover, (2)Unleavened Bread, (3)Firstfruits, (4)Pentecost, (5)Rosh Hashanah (6)Yom Kippur (7)Tabernacles

The first 4 Feasts are referred to as the Spring Feasts and point to Christ's 1st coming.

Jesus died on Passover, He was buried on Unleavened Bread, He rose on Firstfruits, He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

The Last 3 Feasts (Fall) point to the Lords 2nd coming.

Sorry, we can't rewrite scripture with a Saturday resurrection.

Well i have no problem with most of your post.. But Jesus died on passover and was buried before the start of the first day of unleavened bread.. They could not allow the body of Jesus to remain hanging on the cross on the First day of Unleavened bread because it was a Sabbath.. The First day and the last day of unleavened bread where both High Sabbaths.. Yes i agree Jesus rose at the end of the normal 7th day sabbath and the first day raised from the dead for Jesus was the day of Firstfruits And yes the Holy Spirit came on the day of Penticost..

So on the week of the execution of Jesus teo Sabbaths occured.. The first day of Firstfruits a High sabbath which started on wednesday sunset and ended on thursday Sunset and the weekly 7th day Sabbath that started on Friday sunset and ended at saturday sunset..

Do you know that the Biblical day starts and ends at sunsets?

Adstar,
re: "Jesus died on passover and was buried before the start of the first day of unleavened bread.."

Mark 14:12 says: "And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?" How can the burial take place before the start of the first day of unleavened bread when the first day of unleavened bread had started before He was even crucified?

Jesus death on Passover comes from the gospel of John.

I'm afraid I don't see your point with regard to my comment to Adstar. I wonder if you might explain?

You had quoted Adstar's post an I thought I was responding to his post.

The only point I wanted to make was that the Gospels differ on whether Jesus died on Passover or not.
