  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It is said that he promised to us a plan to prosper us not to harm us..but yet so many things happened in my life recently until it makes me a negative person..now i started to get severe depression in the morning..but it passed away later..

the difficulty in my life started to erode me of my strength, faith towards God..Jesus said 'count on me regardless of any situation'. In the end, does he make him accountable?? Everytime when i counted him,bad things happen..and my emotion went nosedive..but good to very bad..i cannot take these anymore..the sudden turn of event..the change in mood..the disappointment..

'what do u do when God said 'no' to your prayer after you had been praying fervently and working so hard to get what you want??'..

As hard as it may be to hear this, but what you may be wanting may not be what God has in mind for you. The negative emotions you're experiencing are not from God. They're a result of you not accepting what God has chosen for your life and not allowing yourself to be guided by him. Take a moment to think about where you want to be and where you think that God wants you to be.

Back in my early days of Christianity, people talked a lot about totally submitting our wills to Him, and living for Him. Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground...

These days, teachings are heavy on declaring what we want, and believing for it. Picture a balance of these two -- maybe not even an in-between zone, but a total submission along with declarations of faith. Using God's Word to get things done, but not necessarily for ourselves. Living for Him.

There's a song I've always liked -- Make me a captive Lord, and then I shall be free. Force me to render up my sword, and I shall conquerer be.

I sink in life's alarms when by myself I stand. Imprison me within Thine arms, and strong shall be my hand.

It is not that He wants to subdue us. But we need to yield and humble ourselves before we can be effective. Our ideal goal is to live for Him -- not to work and strive and prove our worth to Him, and do mighty conquests for Him -- but to allow His power to work through us and let Him figure out what needs to get done.

Think it's worth noting that Jeremiah 29:11 was a word to the nation of Israel who had just been defeated and taken into captivity by Babylon, and The Lord told them this captivity would last 70 years, and then The Lord would visit them, deliver them, and allow them to return to their own land, and live peacefully and prosperously.

Human nature appears to need contrast to appreciate the good things of God...therefore most of us go through some sort of substantial trial, before being able to rejoice in The Lord's Salvation forevermore !
