Age: 14
Height: 5'0" (152 cm)
Weight: 80 lbs. (36 kg.)
Appearance: Light brown hair & dark brown almond-shaped eyes. She's a little underweight and very very short for her age. She's very pale because she rarely ever goes outside.
Reason for homelessness: Her mother died in a car accident when she was 12 years old and her father is in jail for child abuse, DUI (driving under influence = drunk driving), and not paying child support (because he was unemployed).
Jenny's been living with her brother for the past month, but he goes back to college in the fall. He's been able to take care of her in the evenings and she stays with his girlfriend during the day while he works. Her brother is 21 so he was already in college when their mom died.
Jenny's father began drinking a lot after her mom died and eventually his bouts of rage turned into physical abuse (over the course of 2 years). No one noticed the bruises for a few months because Jenny was afraid of letting people find out, but when her school friends told the nurse that she was limping and acting strange lately, it was impossible to hide the bruises.
Jenny is very withdrawn and quiet. She reacts very negatively to physical contact and is very slow to trust.
