I'm sure plenty of convicted criminals would love a pardon, but 99.9% won't get it.

Pardons are copiously handed out by Trump---but mostly for his white criminal cronies.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time he contradicted his position. He does that regularly in fact. He already claimed to 'love' them and he's called them "patriots' *after* the riots too.

It probably would cost him Republican votes in the Senate impeachment trial however, so he probably won't do that, but frankly it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

As I said, I'm hoping for republicans being open to prison reforms now that a good part of their base is going there.
