god said we should think of others before us. so shouldn't we be a bad person so others wont get jealous?

To be honest, I think theres a part in the Bible somewhere where God gets jealous. I can't quote or tell you exactly where it is but I remember it was when God's chosen people of the old testament, the Israelites, were worshipping other idols I think which made God jealous. So I dont' necissarily think its a bad thing I guess but it can be bad if you use it violently or the wrong way. But that's just my take on it. Or maybe jealousy is bad. I dunno. Don't take my word for it, though. the Christian people on this forum will probably have a different answer

But of course you could be preparing a defense for Judgement Day. Do you really think that will fly? "I only lied/stole/cheated/abused/seduced/etc. because I didn't want people to be jealous of my virtue."
