  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Considering it is an English translation of what was originally written in Greek it seems like splitting hairs to make such acute distinction in Paul's verbage, but I will leave you to your theory.

Well then that leaves every translation wrong at least ones done inthe native toungue of the reader so why do we read them and quote them to back our thinking....... and in that case the KJV is just as blasphemous as the NIV and the NKJV and so on.......I think God gave us more credit then that....apparently some have and will abuse this though.

I never said that they were blasphemous, just that it is difficult to draw that fine of a line around diction when dealing with a translation.

I don't beleive any translation to be "wrong" just not as "exact" or "precise" as the original text. I think for at leas 99% of these situations it isn't a problem but there is a percentage that require somone knowlegeable of the original texts, in their native language.

Sadly I am not that person and I must rely on the expertise of others in these areas.

I don't see how I have abused anything
