  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I went to a christian jazz and blues festival called greenfeild it was great I did actually hlp run one but it was brill they had some gr8at jazz and blues music I go to a lot of those sorts of things because jazz and blues Is my fravorite style of music espically blues/soul music is the best No -one that I knew was there who was famous but a famous christian rock group were their who I really like called delirious Heard of them? If I was running one it would probably turn the spreakers up and make the microphones louder because on most of the songs I couldnt hear what he/she was speaking most of the time apart from the drums they were loud enough but I`m used to that because I play drums as well so there Like my essay or lecture? heeee!

Im was in my colleges jazz ensemble this year and we went to the Wichita Jazz Festival in Wichita, Kansas. The festival is mainly for high school and college bands, but they always have a big headliner. This year the USAF Falconaires played. Honestly, I think that some of the college bands were better than them but thats just my opinion.Other good bands were Wichita State University, who hosts the festival, as well as Ft. Hays State (kansas), UT-Arlington (texas), and a lot of other decent bands including ours, the East Central Universtiy (oklahoma) Jazz Band.

The festival is run very well and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Well the school year is over for me now but we did a few festivals during the year. But all of the ones we did werent a competition and no one won. But in one of them we were cliniced by ron jones who plays alto professionally. It was amazing. He was the first professional jazz musician i've listened to in person.
