jazz /blues advice

Hey guys, I'm an average alto sax player, not too good not that shabby
wonder if u guys got any advice for jazz or blues beats for soloing ?

o and guys hav u heard "Amazing Grace" with jazz beat its awesome!!

the main thing is that you develop the ability to express what's in your subconscious mind. For some people all they need to express themselves is slow heart felt notes. For someone else it might be to be very intence and play very fast notes. Then for one person they need to develop major scale ideas for another it might be minor--- natural minor and major are more difficult for me but I feel a need to be strong at all of them -- to always remember less can be more but there is a time to play fast too but speed is good only when wisdom leads the way.

If you're looking for "play a long" rhythm sections, jamey aebersold has a pile of cds out which are useful for practising with.

i just love to play it (( trumpet, 7yrs, 1st chair )) My advise is to just play with all your heart, i can't even remember some of the stuff i've played when i play it. for me it just means have fun. > don't forget to breathe!!
