I don't like Sage Francis; I can't stand his delivery, and as good a lyricist he is, flow/delivery and lyricism are nothing without each other- in my opinion, an all-style-no-substance gangsta rapper than can at the very least locate the snare is no worse than a good lyricist that can't flow.

ill say majority of my students will say that my critical writing/politics of hip hop class ranks as one of the most practicable and enjoyable class they ever taken at Cal. you do know that uc berkeley is the best public university in america? i taken you never listen to kayne west's lyrics such as "Jesus Walks". again conservatives use the same argument against hip hop culture; which displays thier lack of intelligence or igoranance. so you can stop willl with your typical bill oreilly attacks on the culture of hip hop because its old and lame.

Read peotry by Gwendolyn Brooks, the first African American to get a Pulitzer Prize, THAT'S good, relevant writing. Rap & hip Hop is out of touch with the people they claim to speak for.

I bet you'r poor money wasting students do enjoy your class, it's like a modern day basket weaving, fluff & filler, what a contribution to society you are making.
