Did you take a picture??? :D

Haha no but maybe I should have! Hey, there's an idea for a new theme -- Roadkill. Write that one down. ^_^

It was funny because when I hit the deer (or rather, the deer hit me) it was about 4:30 in the morning. It was completely dark and foggy on the Donner Pass. That stretch of highway creeps me out anyway, so I didn't stop but for a second just to make sure there weren't any deer parts lodged anywhere on my vehicle. I drive a white Yukon Denali, so of course it shows the blood real well. The entire passenger side was completely splattered in blood, and there was like deer hairs all in it. Blech. I told myself I would stop at the next rest stop and try to clean it off as best I could, but the fog and snow slowed me down so much that by the time I got to the next rest stop, I was running so late that I didn't have time to do it. Now mind you I was on my way to work, headed to the California Supreme Court testifying in an excessive use of force (resulting in homicide) case. So I here I am driving through downtown Sacramento in a white SUV covered in blood! I pulled into the parking structure at the courthouse and everyone was all staring at me -- this one guy's like, "um, did you know that you have blood all over the side of your vehicle?" LOL. It was so embarrassing! But I'm happy to say that court adjourned quite early today and I was able to make it to the car wash. Now I just have to deal with the body damage, which suprisingly was not that bad. Anyway, that's the story of my exciting day. :p

I got hit by a deer few years back. I heard a huge bump, turned my head and there was the deers head. Hubby asked if I stopped to see if I killed it, I said no. He made me take him back to the area where it hit me. He never did ask if I was ok. I told people I got hit by a deer and they'd go to the front of the car to look and I'd say no, look over here and took them to the side of the car

LOL, crazy men!

I had one run into the side of my car a few years ago as well. I know bucks are aggressive during the rut, but it's pretty bizarre when they charge a vehicle. Makes you wonder why we don't hear more stories about hunters in the woods being gored by nutty deer. I'd be willing to bet that some of the long-time hunters have a story or two about being run up a tree or some such.

I would really have liked to have given out 10 first place awards, but that defeats the purpose of a contest. LOL.

Congratulations to all the winners! Could you please post here the right number of times so I can rep you, or link me to your counting thread? Thanks.

And please think about joining again next month when the theme is man-made construction (towers, bridges, individual buildings, etc.).
