I can't imagine living without him. At the same time, i WANT A LIFE!;)

My son is funny. You can somewhat tell he might be the class clown. He cracks himself up and he cracks my wife and I up.

Anyway i was wondering if any of you remember the One year old years and what you remember about those days?

When do they begin to really start talking.

He has been walking since Thanksgiving. You can somewhat make out different words, but if you didnt know, they all nearly sound the same.

da is dog.
ha is hot.
da is dad.
ma is mom.
da is ball.
and i am not sure what da da da da da da da da da means.

:D

That is so neat! Congratulations on making it to a year!(as of Jan.)

Our fourth child will be 6 months old in a few days. Our two older girls were talking almost fluently by a year and a half...our son was about 2 before he could get a word in edgewise. lol He's 4 now.

Merry Christmas!

If I remember correctly, both of my girls started chattering around 2-2 1/2. Once they start, they never stop. If I were you I would enjoy the silence while you can :)

My 2 soon to be 3 year old questions EVERYTHING with 'why'? "We're going to grandma's today, Sammy.' Sammy: 'Why?' "We're going to visit and help her put up her Christmas tree." Sammy: "Why" Because grandma misses you and she wants to see you". Sammy: "Why?" 'Because grandma doesn't know what it's like to be around you 24/7 LOL!" Sammy:"Why?" etc...

My daughter just turned two on Nov. 15th and I have a 3 month old son. At about 18 months, Kaitlyn was talking well enough to get a point across. I have noticed in the past month or so her speech has really picked up. She can put thoughts together and actually have a conversation with you. They grow-up so fast. I must share that as I was feeding our son yesterday. I noticed that she was really quite at the computer. As I went in to check on her, I saw her in the kitchen at the fridge. She had poured herself a bowl of cereal and had just topped it off with the milk. I was pretty impressed that she didn't spill anything, although the bowl was extremely full.

Make sure you take time for you and your wife alone. A date once a month is great and it makes you still feel as though you do exist outside of the role of parenthood.

Have fun and happy birthday to your little one.

It's amazing to look back one year ago and see how much they have changed and grown up.

Both of my kids were different one year-olds. My daughter didn't start talking til she was almost 2. My son who is 21 months younger was very verbal and he was making 4 word sentences by about 16 months and using the articles "the" and "a". So, it's different for each kid.

I know what you mean about wanting a life. Really, I do! It is very good to go on some dates. You might find yourself talking about your son the whole time:), but at least you'll be out with your wife.
