James White vs Steve Tassi debate

I was wondering who Tassi was and checked out a few of his videos on Youtube. I haven't seen the debate yet but from what I've seen Dr. White shouldn't be wasting time with this guy. It's better to destroy the arguments of intelligent and articulate scholars.

It appears the debate turned out to be a farce due to Tassi's misbehavior. Dr. White says he will not count it as one of his official debates. It was no surprise to me after listening to this guy on youtube. He should also make it a rule to not participate in unmoderated debates.

Actually he often makes jokes that folks don't get because his sense of humor is like that of a Brit even though he is from Canadaaaaa.

lol I must apologize. I had CAVEman mixed up with CAVman of CAVman Considers Blog. You may not get this but CAVEman looks like another blogger - Snyder's Soapbox. Somehow I confused the two...and still got it wrong. lol

I watched this 'debate' and it was obvious that in a battle of wits, Mr. Tassi was unarmed. His opening statement he spent the vast majority of it complaining about the Dividing Line that Dr. White had the day before, and bellyached the debate actually started the day before. Dr. White then got up and said that Mr. Tassi broke EVERY debate rule there was. Mr. Tassi then accused Dr. White of being an Arminian, an open theist, a compatablist, amongst other things.

I did not watch the full debate, but if this is true, then I am surprised that Mr. Tassi is able to put his pants on in the morning by himself. I really do not mean that to be harsh, but to accuse the James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries of being an Arminian and especially an open theist is the height of idiocy. This is especially true if Mr. Tassi then proceeded to say that Dr. White is a compatibilist (which he is) since both Arminianism and open theism are incompatible (pun intended) with compatibilism.

From the little I watched of the debate, it seems that Mr. Tassi cares about nothing more than "getting those dirty Calvinists." It seems that he will do whatever it takes to make it seem like he is pulling punches in front of his congregation. I hurt for his flock not because they are Arminians, but because they are being pastored by such an apparently vindictive dimwit.
