  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If that's how you use books, then that would explain a lot - your behind is more well-read than your head.

Nothing but the best for comey's book.

I wonder what Mueller thinks of him writing this book, so quickly?

Since Comey is a witness to a potential obstruction case against Trump and other Russia related matters, any of his comments in the press, can be used to discredit him as a witness and he has contradicted himself on a couple of things already.

I watched an interview with John Dean from watergate fame and he said his attorney, told him to hold off on writing a book, until things died down, for this very reason.

There is no "Democrat" party, as you know. Comey has always been a Republican.

Not exactly, because Clinton was ahead in the polls up to the point when he announced they were reopening the investigation. That was the turning point. The problem as he saw it was that they had already said the investigation was closed; now, that was no longer true. If he said nothing, and Clinton did get elected and the investigation did turn up something new and incriminating, then he would have been at fault for exonerating her; saying nothing, he feared, would be seen as deceitful.
Are you trying to tell me the head of the FBI didn't knew there were men in the field still investigation the case? He admitted he thought Clinton had already won. If he did his job as he was suppose to he wouldn't have to worry who got elected. He deserved to be fired by his own testimony.

The case had been officially closed and had been announced as such. At that point, I don't believe there were men still investigati[ng] the case since it had been closed. However, the Wiener laptop was new information that had to be looked at, so the case was reopened just for that.

He admitted he thought Clinton had already won.
No, he "admitted" that he thought Clinton was going to win, not already won. There's a big difference.

If he did his job as he was suppose to he wouldn't have to worry who got elected.
I don't think that's true - he still had to be careful about appearances of impropriety.

He deserved to be fired by his own testimony.
Why? What exactly do you think he did that he deserved to be fired for? Was it for announcing that the case was being reopened so close to election day? Or was it for continuing with the Russian investigation, the reason he actually go fired, by Donald's own admission?
