Some time ago our pastor gave a sermon in which he compared Jacob's Ladder to Christ. My friend Paula was rather intensely interested in the similie and wanted me to post a query on this theory here.
As I remember the premise (my memory being dodgy at best), Christ is the ladder Jacob saw upon which His Father's servants ascend and descend to do His bidding on this Fallen Creation. I found the premise quite thought-provoking and came to the conclusion that it was valid and quite accurate. However, I can't remember enough of the rest of the sermon to say much more.
Does anyone have any ideas on this subject? Is it a valid premise?
