My birth story
Hey everyone,
I gotta make this quick. Baby is asleep now and will be up soon to eat again. Gotta get laundry done too.
I wanted to share my story with ya'll. I went in on friday morning at 5am to the hospital. I get up to labor and delivery and into the gown I go. I did't sleep much that night and was quite scared of what was to come. My nurse gets my IV in and gives me an examination. I am already at 3 cm
she believed I would have went into labor on that day anyway. So she starts the pitocin and I am scared to death. I have heard horror stories of this stuff and how the pain is just so aweful. I am waiting for the epidural angel to show up and not the first pain came. So I am waiting and getting really anxious. All of a sudden, I feel this pitocin contraction and new the contraction demon was close.
About that time here walks in my epidural angel. He gets me fixed up and I was in heaven. It's about 8:30am now and I am just loving his epidural. I kept waiting to feel pain but it never came. I am checked again at 10:00am, I am at 5cm at this point. Still, no pain. My nurse makes it very clear that we are gonna have this baby before she leaves her shift at 1:00. I thought that was funny. Jacob was not coming until he got ready. At 11:00 she comes in and says "looks like we are gonna have a baby soon!!!!!!" I said WHAT!!!! She checked me and I am at 9cm. About 12:55 I am ready to push. 3 pushes and here came Jacob at 12:59. Just 5 hours of labor. It was so awesome. He weighed 7.3 and 20 inches long. I did not feel a thing. I never knew pain free labor and delivery existed. I wanted to share some pics ok. I gotta go do laundry.
