I'm Back!
I've missed you all so dearly~ I want to give you an update on my temporary leave of absence from the forum and events going on in my life.
First and foremost-my daughter Gabriella-Marie Evelynne Dettrey was born on June 25th 2009, via vaginal delivery, by induction of labor. I had an epidural and a drug called nubane given for pain, though it did not help much. She weighed 6lbs 7oz, and was 21 inches long. Now at her 2ed month visit, she weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 22.5 inches long (that was the day they gave her all her shots too, and she did much better than we thought but anyway...) She was very healthy, and given an APGAR score of 10 both times. We also chose to invest our money in banking Gabriella's cord blood in the Cord Blood Registry's bank, and they were able to collect 362.18 million stem cells to bank, from just 31mL/CC of blood. This way in the future if anything WERE to go wrong with her, we would have her viable stem cells to use.
Since the birth of my daughter, Jason and I have been doing great. We have decided to invest in premarital counseling to work out our issues. The state increased our food stamps to $515 a month, and Gabby, Jason and I all have Florida Medicaid. I work overnights 40 hours a week at McDonalds, and the great thing is it is in walking distance, while Jason stays home with the baby, and then during the day, I stay with the baby while Jason works. He is collecting partial unemployment because they cut his hours at work, but between the both of us, we are making enough to survive, pay the bills and make things work. God has blessed us, but there are still some things that we need to do to make us closer to our relationship with God. I plan on going back to Church, and am going to take Sunday as the first day back to church around here, because I feel I need to hear Gods word. We also plan on getting Gabriella Baptized, and along with that, I plan on getting baptized and so does Jason.
I am still going to college full time, and am proud to say that I'm doing much better than I thought I would be. Gabriella has and is the meaning of my life, and she has caused me to want to make myself better than I used to be. I am going to college full time, going to school full time, (I have 3 terms left before graduating in May 2010, at which time I'll have my associates in medical assisting, and then plan on going onto my Bachelors in Health with the emphasis of pre/post graduate, and then after that continuing my education)
I'm waiting for October 1st to come because then at that point I'll have my medicaid staywell card and can go to therapy like I need. I'm also waiting for a large check for educational and living expenses from my college in which I can put toward things like bills, and were planning on getting a used car so we don't have to take the bus everywhere anymore.
Thats about it!
I've got photos in my signature, which were taken recent. I'll update them in an album and theyre also on myspace and facebook.
