  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hola everyone and happy Friday to you all! I know I haven't been around much since February. Mainly because I was starting to get really fed-up with some people's very un-christlike attitudes on these forums (no one from this board, though :D ) but also because I have been super busy with work.

I wanted to give you guys an update on my life. After I was heartbroken back in January by someone I took some time out to regroup, not even think about seeing anyone, and just pray for what God would have me to do. I adopted a couple of Guinea Pigs to keep me company and they give me something to do. I have decided after much prayerful consideration to go to school to become a vet tech. I've made the decision to love myself for who I am and not have such a lack of self-esteem. I've also recently become very involved in animal rights and become a vegitarian. I have also met a very special man. His name is Charlie and he and I have been friends for about a year now. We recently got to talking alot on the phone and spending time together and he has asked me if I would like to make the relationship official. For so long now I've been everybody's girl friend and nobody's girlfriend. It feels good to know somebody cares so much about you. He's an amazing man. He's 28, a chef, and plays bass guitar in a band. He's a Christian too (just need to get him into church LOL) and has so many wonderful talents. He cares about me alot and makes me feel very special. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I do know that in the here and now it's going great and I pray things will work out. I just wanted to stop by and share my praise with ya'll.

I am sorry that you have been hurt so much. Perhaps this fellow just wasn't the right one and God allowed you to meet someone that wasn't right so that when the right one came along you would know the difference. I will pray that your saddness will be replaced by joy and that all your tears will be dried by the hands of the One who loves you most of all.
