  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello everyone! I am in the process of allowing God to put my life back together after leaving an abusive marriage. I ended up with no one and so I moved back here to MN...and have since remarried. Anyyyyway, I have jumped thru so many hoops to try and please God or what I thought was God thru the yrs....then God brought me back to square one...to a couple of very clear and simple facts in the last few yrs that I thought I would share with everyone ~ That God IS (agape) love, that He sent His Son and then sent His Holy Spirit into my heart....and that by living these things out on a daily basis was the way to put Him back at the center of my life....so, essentially I learned that to Make Him the center of my life, then I would love what is at the center of His.

So, I began getting up each morning with a different focus. To show love, be a peacemaker, which lead me to be more patient, kind and have more self-control ((and the other fruits as well)) and the BIG bonus was less problems with the flesh!!...because I found that it was hard to be self-centered when my focus was different...when my focus was outward, towards others, as Christ's was. With this "mind in you that was also in Christ Jesus" I began seeing others differently and noticing the people around me that Christ would notice.

Then God began having me read, not just Gal. 5, Phil. 2:1-11 and 1 Cor. 13, but also 1 John 4...that said that loving was THE sign that I was His...which then confirmed to me that going about the Fathers business, as Christ did, was what was putting my Christian walk back inline again naturally, without striving and jumping thru all kinds of hoops.

Anyway, thank you for reading and allowing me to share... and thank you that we are here to share and not here to debate. :^) Very refreshing!

MY DEAR SISTER,

One thing is, i think, important to keep in mind--There is nothing you can do to make God love you more, and there is nothing that you can do to make God love you less. He is your Abba--always has been, always will be.

There is a really neat book on the topic of Abba's enduring and never-changing love for His children called HE LOVES ME! by Wayne Jacobsen. It is available as a FREE download at:

Wayne Jacobsen's Books: He Loves Me

Just click the "Free 1st Edition" Button on the bottom left of the home page. ENJOY!

:bow:ABBA'S FOOL,
ephraim
