I have been having bad dreams about my boyfriend. I do not know why I've been having these nightmares. Most of the nightmares were about him being mean to me or ignoring me. In one of the dreams I guess he started to like my sister and she did not like him back so he was chasing after her with a knife. I already prayed against those dreams. However, recently I had another bad dream that was hard to understand. In the dream I was standing on top of a tall building and I guess I was about to jump off. Basically I was trying to kill myself in the dream. Anyway I almost fell off from the top of the building but I changed my mind and I climbed back up and through a window. When I climbed through the window somebody said that my boyfriend was calling for me. Shortly after they said that I saw him standing right in front of me. I am not asking for a dream interpretation but does anyone have any idea why I would be having these kind of dreams??

maybe relating him to a fear in the past, or a fear of hearing what others have gone through. a very long time ago when i had nightmares, my brother told me it was possable to insert myself into the dream and intellegently control them, it took a while but the nightmares went away. ive had some very good dreams leaving the radio on a christian station, even woke up one time and i was singing along.

I hope you find your answer. B. Blessed

sounds like the weird dreams we get under stress: when things build up and we worry... and pregnant women get wierd dreams as part of all the changes mixed with fears. i think dreams like this are our "warning flag spiritually" that we need to be talking to someone whom we trust; but is outside the circle of people that could be involved with our stresses. alot of people don't have a spiritual mentor. so they ask for counsel at the church leadership. but some of us take it to devotionals, journaling and prayer. if you wrote a letter/ journal to God, perhaps it would help you sort out what to do about whatever's going on. if you want to chat one on one, just pop me a note. xo dee

I agree with what the other posters have said. Think about current situations in your life and try to see if your dreams somehow reflect some major issues that might be happening or things that you're under stress about.

Also, certain foods can cause nightmares along with medications. Anything new on those things?

I’m an old guy that once had horrid dreams around my time spent in Vietnam. Once I became a Christian I was advised to go to sleep praying and that the Lord would put a hedge of protection around me. I have not had a nightmare since then, prayer really works.

I had watched the Discovery channel two weeks ago and it was all about dreams. Some dream is connected with the situation in your life that occur or things that you're under stress about. And it is connected with your brain system which I am not quite sure. I also agree with Perry SB to sleep praying. Maybe it will helps.
