I've been called a racist so many times here on site -- it gets old!

I disagree. Conservatives naturally tend towards using facts (although they may not get them correct all the time) and, even when they are characterizing the opponent, do not just reach for the most hurtful or insulting term, quite apart from its accuracy. But that is a well-travelled technique of the political Left, especially now that the Democrat Party has been thoroughly "Antifa-ized."

So which hurtful or insulting terms are good examples, where can't find hurtful terms from the right?

From up top the mountain figuring that (you are not one) but, has anyone ever called you a racist?

No big deal everybody nowadays is getting use to the far left and their totally hateful off-the-wall remarks and comments.

Sure, I've been called a racist. It's hardly an insult since most of my grandkids are half black and half of them in college. I have an insiders view of the culture differences. Other people can't educate me on what I already know. I call it a culture, but they call it racist.
They can try and hate, but to try and educate me on race is just stupid. But if they want to hate, fine. Let them learn about life the hard way. It took me decades. It may take them that long.

I hear you Bob (my name is also Bob). I too am called a racist here, and perhaps I invite the charge. Any criticism of minorities gets you that label regardless of great experiences such as yours.

Any criticism of minorities BY minorities gets them the label as well.

It's called "cognizant dissonance".

And it's rampant.

I would have thought after November 8th, 2016 they'd have engaged in a little introspection and realized that running around calling people whatever "ist" or "phobe" is in fashion wasn't a productive means of persuasion. Instead, it looks like they're doubling down on their hate.

I think their plan is to carry the hate right on up until the next election.

I thought that didn't work last time?

If they don't all implode on themselves before then.

Spewing all that contrived hate and vitriol is going to find its target.

Them.

It always does.

This comes to mind:

This must be a very popular scripture among the Christian Right. It's just too bad these Christians don't use the scripture when talking about their own president. It's a Pot Meet Kettle kind of thing.

However, Trump did say and I quote: "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters" (Source) and sadly, I think he's right, considering the unwavering support he has from his evangelical Christian supporters, despite his very immoral and unChristian behavior.

Speaking of spewing all that contrived hate and vitriol is going to find its target....

It IS true that if one digs holes for others, they are obliged to fall into those holes themselves. They just didn't know that those holes they were digging was for them. Hatred and vitriol eats up the one harboring it, from the inside, out. It also destroys their families as one thing after the other, begins to fall one-by-one, like dominoes. Nothing healthy can thrive in that overflowing hatred that spills and spews hatred wherever it goes. It's a poison. Literally.

The picture of Proverbs 26 is a warning. It's best to heed it.

(By the way, did you change your user name again?)

"He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." ~Pr 29:1

I almost forgot that I am part Cherokee, good thing my wife is not a racist.

MountainMan Bob lucked out again.

Very impressed with our new green spray painted goat. Wish I could say the same for the goat.

Okay I guess it comes with the territory because of being on an Internet site and stating my opinions and receiving responses from people that don't really know me. Putting that aside for a minute if I may I must say, it does get a little old.

It seems these days that when a conservative states their stance on an issue if someone from the left just wants to put out a quick stupid response for some reason they just throw out the race card and insinuate that I'm a racist.

It should be noted that I don't really expect this to stop but, I think a few points of interest should be noted.

I was raised in in Logan Heights known as a ghetto in San Diego California. 90% of my friends were of color.

I worked for the city of San Diego for 32 years and most of my friends were Mexicans. I hung out with them and partied a lot with them and their families. One of my best friends at the City was an old black man -- I loved that guy and he taught me a lot. He used to tell me, "you don't know what you have until the well runs dry." Something that I have been saying for 25 years now.

My last 5 or 6 years with the City I was assigned to a work truck and we traveled to all the different parks in San Diego and my coworker was and is a female gay Lady. We spent our total work days together. I've been retired for 12 years now and that sweet Lady and I still get together often for a Sushi lunch.

My best friend Mike and I go all the way back to the fifth grade in Hawaii. Yes, we were what they call Navy brats. We hooked back up on the mainland and owned a bicycle shop together from 1970 to 1973 near San Diego State College. Mike and I always have been and still are the closest of friends. We get together often for hikes and bicycle rides. Mike and his wife often take my wife and I to Hawaii to their condo for vacation.

Mike is married to a Filipino lady. One of their daughters was married to a Mexican man and the other is married to a black man. Their grandchildren are interracial.

I enjoy this site a lot and also have a real love for all of you here that share your opinions (although I don't agree with many of you).

From up top the mountain the goats and I wish you,
A very blessed day,
Bob

Personally I think this is tragic - politically you and I have VERY different views. I'm a Social Democrat, which many conservatives label liberal - in reality it's "left of centre". I see Trump as highly entertaining and also a concern on the world stage. You and I have different views on things like same-sex marriage, immigration, and that's ok. Christians can, and do disagree. As Christians, as long as that disagreement is prayed out and thought out, I'm fine with it. I have had people here insinuate that I am not a Christian at all - which is highly insulting. What do you call someone who has repented, been born again, believes the Bible, and seeks to follow Jesus first and foremost? The same holds true when I disagree with you. It's not that we disagree, it's how we disagree that matters.

The problem with an online community like this is that it does bring together people from very different backgrounds. We need to be a place where all views are tolerated, discussed openly (and I hope prayerfully, in the light of Scripture) and where what holds us together (our faith in Jesus) is held above all else. Sadly, CF doesn't always foster this attitude.

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" - John 13:35

Sadly, this love is often not the first thing that people see.
