LOL..the kiddos started school today! I will miss them....next week! Today I'm enjoying peace and quiet...catching up on laundry and housework.(super busy weekend)
Grace(oldest/ 7th gr.) was so excited she was waiting by the door at 6:10.(she leaves at 6:30) She couldn't stop smiling and said her cheeks hurt.
Mary(middle/ 4th gr.) is my super shy, super sensitive kiddo and she was excited too. She's totally come out of her shell and couldn't wait to see who was in her class this year. She was up and ready and chatty.
Peter (grand finale kid/ 1st)...poor Peter. He was miserable. He doesn't want to leave mommmy. He was in 1/2 day kdg. last year so this year will be long for him. He cried all morning...he's always had a rough time with new things...so my husband went in to work late and took him to school. It's so much easier to say goodbye to daddy than mommy. I watched him pull out of the driveway and his smiles had faded...poor guy. DH said he did pretty well...he stopped crying before dh left the room..so that's a good sign. Also..his good friend that lives 5 houses down is in his class...so he'll love that part!
Now the whirlwind of the school year begins!
How about everyone else?
