It's that time again...

Since this is the college board and we all have finals around this time, I think it's important that we have encouragement and humor as well. So every semester's end I try to put this up to remind people where their help comes from. Enjoy!

The Student Prayer

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not flunk;
He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying.
He gives me new strength
He leadeth me besides the water cooler for a study break;
He restoreth my faith in study guides.
He leads me to better study habits for my grades sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of borderline grades,
I will not have a breakdown.
For thou art with me.
My prayers and my friends, they comfort me.
Thou givest me answers in moments of blankness.
Thou anointest my head with understanding.
My test paper runneth over with questions I recognize.
Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me all the days of my examinations,
And I shall not have to dwell in this school house forever.
Amen.

hmm, lol. thats funny. I'm all done as of today. So, here's to those 'burning the midnight oil' who need a red bull/full throttle i.v. hooked up.

Here's another (even though I should be studying for my Spanish exam, lol.)

Now I lay me down to study,
I pray the Lord I won't go nutty.
If I should fail to learn this junk,
I pray the Lord I will not flunk.
But if I do, don't pity me at all,
Just lay my bones out in the dorm hall
Tell my prof. I did my best,
Then pile my books upon my chest.
Now I lay me down to rest,
And pray I'll pass tomorrow's test.
If I should die before I wake,
that's one less test I'll have to take!


By the way, I'm not claiming authorship of any of the poems. I don't know who wrote them, I just wanted to share them.
