Paul stood and lived his whole life for the truth and nothing more. Paul saw the resurrected Christ Jesus who turned him around when he was once called Saul. Paul suffered so much so that we can have all those passages in the Bible and yet you call him opinionated. Yet, he counted all his suffering joy and boasted not in anything he accomplished but in Christ Jesus. The apostle Paul was perhaps the greatest theologian-missionary who ever lived, yet he didn’t attempt to serve the Lord in isolation. At his side were people like Luke, Timothy, Barnabas, John Mark, Titus, Epaphroditus, Euodia and Syntyche, and a host of others, including the twenty-six-people named in Romans 16. He brought out the greatness in them, and they helped him bear the burdens of ministry. They all needed each other. May I suggest that if you can't say anything good about someone, perhaps better not to say anything.
Yes, I understand it's hard being single, but so many Christians choose not to marry because they count it better to serve God in that way. Patrick, the saint of Ireland and many others who helped him lived a single life because they were willing to die and suffer for Christ by risking their whole life to share the gospel to the Irish people. John Stot was a great man of God who also lived a single life for 90 years, and looking back in hindsight, he realised perhaps God purpose in his singleness. Yes, it good to be married, and good to be single. It's a good desire to want to be married but it is even greater to seek first the kingdom of God above all else. Please don't get me wrong, I am not elevating being single over being married or vice versa. All I'm saying is that God must be elevated above all else.
