  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was very active on these forums from 2003-2009 and then just posted an update or two every other year or so but my last time on here was 2012. My wife and I have a 6 year old boy (Cyprian), a 4 year old boy (Ignatius), a 2 year old girl (Endellion), a child we miscarried last summer (Benedicta Caeli), and a girl due this May.

I'm keeping really busy with work and raising a family and 2014 was definitely the toughest year in my life, but definitely grew from the experiences.

I hope everybody here is doing well and if any of you oldies are lurking, I would love to say hi before going on another 2 year hiatus.

What a nice family you have! :) I do hope you'll pop in as time permits. There's lots of space here, and refreshment is always available at the Pub.

Not sure if anybody here remembers me or if anybody is still around from the old days but I hope everybody is doing well.

One of my faves, welcome back! What was your other username? My wife and I have 5 now, our oldest is 10. Everybody is happy and healthy.

Of course I remember you. We used to tussle quite a bit back when I was in high school. Coincidentally, I logged on to the forums today to prepare for an upcoming roast among friends that will involve the dramatic reading of particularly embarrassing passages from old online posts.

I'm pleased that life has been treating you well.

Hey, good to see you!

Interestingly, I've been away from the forum myself for several years and just popped in to say hello with a similar thread two days ago. :) So, good timing. There probably would have been pretty long betting odds against us both happening to pop in to say hello to everyone within the same 48 hour period after several years away. :) Pretty cool that it worked out that way.

Sorry to hear that last year was a rough year for you. I hope 2015 is better!

PCF is actually one of only two or three past or present OBOBers I've met in real life. I think that was way back in 2005 or 2006. Very nice guy.

Your family is beautiful. I remember the busy days when we had two boys and a girl running around our home (and lots of their friends...) Now that I have an empty nest, I can tell you to cherish these moments.

You're in the right place, spending lots of time with your children...one of my "children" now lives in Asia, 9,000 miles away...most of our communication is through FB and calls (hard to juggle with a 14 hour time difference and busy schedules) and visits every year-and-a-half. His last visit was in January, 2014 (our belated Christmas) and we will visit him this July :)
