Hello everyone,
It's been a long time since I was last here. Years in fact. Not sure why I disappeared, and don't know whether or not this is going to be a one-time post or a return. But, I came upon this forum today and had fond memories of my time here, so I thought I would drop in again and say "Hi!"

So, Hi! What have you all been up to?

My life has changed significantly since I was last here. Among them, I'm retired, divorced, remarried, and now living in Uganda instead of the USA.

I'm teaching at the United Methodist Theological College of Uganda and sometimes get asked to fill-in for the pastor at the Pentecostal Church which my wife belongs to. That doesn't take up as much time as it might sound like, but what does is the new house we are building here, and simply being a parent to our 6-year old girl.

I wonder if any of the old names I once knew are even still around?

GraceSeeker! It's good to see you again after all this time. I'm currently attending Northwest Nazarene University in their Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program and in the beginning steps of the process of Ordination. Glad to see you're doing well

Wow! Good on you. I left the forum for a while and went Lutheran, but during the church hiatus imposed by pandemic restrictions, I felt the Lord drawing me to return to Methodism and continue pursuing lay speaking training as I had started pre-pandemic. In the current state of the Methodists in the US, there is a real need for someone to preach Jesus.
