What a great story on so many levels. First, George gets to see how the world would be if he were not born. Second, George's generosity over the years is paid back tenfold when he is is trouble.

George Bailey is such an honorable character. If there was any person I wish I could be, it would be him. Kind, honest, generous, moral & so on. When I see the movie, I really think I would have fit it very well in those days. People were so much more virtuous back then. You won't find many Marys in the world today.

I haven't seen this yet, but I will on Friday because I'm going to a party the chorus group I'm in is having and we're watching it. It's like a tradition apparently.

The first hour is kind of slow because it sets up what happens later in the movie so stick with it.

If you like it, it will probably be on NBC on Christmas Day. NBC runs it three times during the holidays. Usually Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day & the Saturday night mid-way between Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Or you can buy it on DVD.

My absolute favorite movie- ever. I watch it any time it comes on. I just could never get tired of seeing it. I cant really express what I feel when I watch that movie, I just love it so much. :)
