Haha, that's just what John Kerry said in 2004. Look where it got him. Without a constitutional amendment, states activist judges can force their citizenry to live with homosexual marriage, so McCain's position will basically let many parts of the US get sucked down the moral gutter.
And since when is opposing tax cuts (as he has in the past and surely will in the future) been conservative? When has supporting restrictions on the right to bear arms, and letting immigrants flood our borders, and eliminating the fundamental Americaness of our country in the name of a free-trade block that will make the US like the west wing of the EU?
I'll give ya a few!...Americaness? Could you give an example of fundamental Americaness?
tulc(just curious)![]()
Don't worry, you won't be required to marry another woman.
I'll give ya a few!
1) Giving people the rights to have relationships with whomever they want without government interference.
2) Fair and responsible tax policy which doesn't benefit the upper classes to the detriment of lower classes and without restricting the government's ability to provide basic services.
3) A welcoming stance toward immigrants.
4) The desire to engage in international trade.
Hmmmm. Compared to Baldwin supporters, McCain's not sounding too bad![]()
That ones new. Goverment has always interfered in the legal unons of people. They charge money to recognize a relationship. Other then that goverment doesn't care.I'll give ya a few!

you mean like giving equal percentage tax breaks to everyone? Taxing the people that hire other people less so they can expand teir business, and create more products?2) Fair and responsible tax policy which doesn't benefit the upper classes to the detriment of lower classes and without restricting the government's ability to provide basic services.
Most Amercans are Immigrants, we welcome immigrants that come here legally. We do not welcome criminals that sneak in to our country, much like every other country in the world.3) A welcoming stance toward immigrants.
Fair trade in the world is good. We haven't tried fair trade. Free trade helps everyone but us, since we have so many laws to protect the workers and what they earn, and other countrys don't.4) The desire to engage in international trade.
Scarred me. I thought Alec Baldwin or Billy Baldwin was running for president.![]()
I might have nightmares now.
Yes, maybe in the future we will loosen the shackles of institutional homophobia--then we will indeed be supporting the American ideal of freedom. That ones new. Goverment has always interfered in the legal unons of people. They charge money to recognize a relationship. Other then that goverment doesn't care.
Maybe Americanism in the future but has never been to this date.
Of course not. I said a tax policy that treats both rich and poor equitably and both of these proposals benefit the rich at the expense of the poor.you mean like giving equal percentage tax breaks to everyone? Taxing the people that hire other people less so they can expand teir business, and create more products?
And I think John McCain would agree with that--so I don't see what the OP's problem is with that issue. Most Amercans are Immigrants, we welcome immigrants that come here legally. We do not welcome criminals that sneak in to our country, much like every other country in the world.
I guess I'd agree with you to a certain extent, but for different reasons. Much of our trade policy is designed to exploit the resources of other countries to benefit American corporations. American workers do suffer as well, so I agree with you on that. I just hope you don't advocate evening the playing field by relaxing the protections we provide our workers.Fair trade in the world is good. We haven't tried fair trade. Free trade helps everyone but us, since we have so many laws to protect the workers and what they earn, and other countrys don't.
Maybe it is better said that it is God's will that Christians support the true Christian candidate, and that those who vote for Obama/Clinton/McCain will seal their own fate for their defiance of the Lord.
