• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It seems some Christians here are interested in Hindusim.

i am ready to form this NCR mission teams then, who is willing to join we will post thigns about islam (bad) all the time, what do you say to that? i doubt it.

:preach: Who would that benefit? If you want to destroy Islam, don't focus on it. Focus on your faith and in living as Christ would, and the converts will come of their own accord. Bashing Islam will get you nowhere. I imagine the muslims are just as ready to defend their faith as we are to defend ours.

Believe it or not, the Christians of Rome thought the same thing. So Saint Paul says, "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?" (Romans 6:1-3)

I don't understand what paul is saying..could you put it in your own words?

I have seen priests baptising people on their deathbed even those who are in coma...so are you saying that at deathbed one can not accept claims of the jesus?

You forget that if you lead your life thinking that you can be good enough on your own and not need saving you will perish as well.

An imperfect being can not make itself perfect.

I thought all you need is asking for forgiveness or repent (ness)? or that not true?

is salvation by jesus guaranteed or not?

No. "jesus yogi" does not exist. Jesus Christ, however does. I will be happy to respond to your questions satay, but not if you continue to blaspheme after we ask you not to.

Enosis, I don't know of any non-Christian religions that properly portray God. In Hinduism, God is a distant, uncaring force. In Judaism, the Law is worshiped instead of God. How are any of these other religions better or worse than Islam (Islamic violence aside)?

In this post you seem to think that you are qualified to "talk about" hinduism..a direct contradition of your own statement made to freethinker but oh...I think that thread has been discontinued.

anyhow... carrry on...

I always wonder about what people will do if there are only two religions left in the world. Be pretty interesting actually to see the outcome. Of course, the outcome has already been predicted elsewhere...

Why are you ignoring my posts satay? Are you trying to provoke the Christian members of this forum? I have asked you not to blaspheme like this more than once.

Sorry friend...which posts are you referring to? Which of my posts bother you?

Is the name important? We should focus on his teachings. no?

I think its very long sighted of people to be interested in other religions and possibilities. I don't understand the mentality of ''i am right and everyone else is wrong''.

The religion or the god who says ''everyone else but what i say is wrong and there is no saving if you believe in something other than what i say'' does not for me have the spiritual level of a ''god'' but a spoilt child.

The problem is that you can't pick and choose which of his teachings to follow, and twist them to suit your belief system. Personally I would be happier if some of these religious groups would just flat out deny Christ rather than twist his teachings and refer to him as merely a prophet or a yogi.

I don't deny him personally. To me Jesus makes sense only through sanatan dharma's perspective. But that's just me. Most hindus simply don't care about him and will flat out deny him as the moral teachings that he dispensed were already been told by others by many philosophers already including chinese philosophers.

Yes, the name is important. According to our religion, a yogi is a godless idolater. Whether or not that offends you, it is blasphemy to call Jesus a yogi.

And why shouldn't I be qualified to "talk about" Hinduism? I wasn't aware that I needed any credentials to discuss Hinduism.

Yes I agree. It's absolutely worthless to say that you respect Christ, but that you don't recieve him as Lord. If he is not one's Lord, then he is of no advantage.

I understand that mentality. The various religions of the world contradict each other. Not all the religions can be right at the same time. I think that the belief you described above is intellectually honest, if nothing else.
