  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is Important!

It is a important issue

  • We should all be supportive of it.

  • We should never support it.

  • I am willing to ignore it.

I want to be on the record supporting it. Without it society would fail we would be doomed. I know some people claim we dont need it or that it is too divisive, but I honestly feel that it is something that can bring us all together.

Others say it is too ambitious, but we have a right to it and I will be the last person to allow narrowminded people from letting me have it. Yet it could effect the environment and we need to consider it and it's effect on the world. But without a question some people have it and others don't. Is that fair? Shouldnt everyone have it?

So included is a a poll on if we should embrace it, reject it, or ignore it.

"I am willing to ignore it."

despite how important it may be or appear to be or want to be, most times, i will leave it alone or ignore it and it usually does the same to me. the few times it wouldnt leave well enough alone with me, it wasnt pretty how it turned out.

whatever it will be will be.

I'd want to know why you think society would be doomed without "it."

I'd want to know what "its" effect on the environment is and what the evidence is in support of that.

But without a question some people have it and others don't. Is that fair? Shouldnt everyone have it?

Is "it" something wanted by those who don't have "it?"

So included is a a poll on if we should embrace it, reject it, or ignore it.

I vote "ignore" pending further details.

I am not a great fan of Christian rock music, but I embrace the right of everyone who likes it to listen to it.
I find the hopes you place in it a bit exaggerated, though, but oh well.
