It good or bad to make a prayer to God and then to Jesus?

In my nightly prayer I pray to god to bless me and my loved ones and thank him for allowing us to live in peace underneath him.

Then I make a prayer to Jesus thanking him for his sacrafice.

Is it OK to make to separate prayers?

Well the bible teaches us to pray to the father in the name of Jesus, not that I think anything you are doing is bad or unacceptable to God.

No I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

However if you are not using 'God' here to refer to the Father, while I also think it would not be wrong to make a prayer to God not distinguishing a person and then one specifically to the second person of the Trinity, do not forget that Jesus is God.

Of course it's OK.

In a former venue I saw a discussion on the topic of who people address prayers to. About half Jesus and half God. No one seemed to think that either alternative was really wrong. I think the NT tends to suggest praying to the Father and the name of Jesus, but it seems to me that the main thing is to pray to God in some form.

It's fine. I sometimes direct my prayers accordingly as I discern distinct workings within the Trinity.

I don't know if it's a sin, but it's not necessary. Prayers are not like emails, where you have to including additional recipients in the CC. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all the same God.
