There is far too much guessing on this subject. If someone wants to write posts implying a "backfiring" then they need to be explicit about who's plan backfired and what that plan was. All we seem to have is some terminally online person who is deep into internet "culture" of some sort.

A lot of these terminally online people have rather incoherent "ideologies" as the clues left behind by them are a weird mixture of things. (Many of the school shooters, but not apparently in this case, the "clues" they leave behind refer to prior mass shootings of various motivations. It's a real mess.) Frankly all of thee "ideologies" and "plans" are quite outlandish. And that's true if he was trying to trigger a RW backlash, or destroy the right, or whatever. The thread seems to imply that it was careful plot by "the left" to put an end RW voices.

This incident also has some resemblance to the "disgruntled fan" outlash (though such incidents seem to be more intimate and emotional, rather than emotionally detached sniper shootings). Kirk certainly had a celebrity aspect to him.

It'll be interesting to see how much of that holds up after the investigation is completed. Apparently Robinson was quite active online and quite social too. So there's a lot there to supply a lot of information about him.

Aside from the probably cause document, have any "law enforcement reports" been released? All I've seen are things filtered through Kash Patel and Spencer Cox, neither of whom I trust to be perfectly reliable.
