The NLT bible is my favorite bible version, hands down, but when Tyndale rewords certain passages like (Luke 24:39) from "spirit" to "ghost", it really bothers me...in that Christ was reassuring His followers that He was indeed ressurected.
Jesus comparing Himself to a "ghost" as the NLT does is very unsettling to me, because it just doesn't like something HE would ever say. What's more, it appears that only versions that change these terms are the NLT and NIV, but I guess that's the drawback if like myself, you enjoy the "narrative flow" of these translations.
