The Jews had the Old Covenant priests that kept the teachings and the New Testament has their priests too which maintain an Apostolic line back to the Apostles.

As to Adam and Even the words used here could be two people or it could be mankind.

That is true but the operative word is MAN KIND not Chimp kind or any other kind. Man WAS made in the image of God. The animals and beasts and fish and birds where made after their KIND. That is NOT what evolution teaches.

Evolutionists NEED us to believe that Genesis is only an allegory to fit their science. Because Genesis blows evolution out of the water. Jesus was quoting from Genesis 2 when He was teaching that God made them male and female in the beginning.

As to those who keep the teachings of the Bible straight, ANYONE can do that by reading it. I'm not saying that it is not necessary to have teachers, but the scriptures tell us those teachers can be wrong and it our responisbility to know or understand whether we are being taught right or wrong. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure they are NOT being taught wrong by reading and studying the scriptures for themselves. Proverbs says,

Pro 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Pro 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If we want to know the truth we have to continue in the word. We have to attend to it... Keep it in the midst of our hearts... Incline our ears to it.... let it not depart from our eyes. Today we have the best tools available to us in every area. Teachers are good but they can't be with us 24/7. To be Jesus' disciples WE need to continue in His word. We NEED to know the truth for ourselves and THEN it will make us free. When we go it will lead us, when we sleep it will keep us, when we are awake it will talk to us. God's word is our life. Don't let anyone dictate to you what it means or does not mean... find out for yourself and then bind it in your heart. It will make you free.

Coming here was probably the first time I saw a Christian compare themselves to Christ after being called on their poor apologetics and not get laughed out of the house (by the other Christians, anyway).

I wouldn't mind so much if it was accompanied by a modicum of self-awareness - sadly, they'll just issue their creationistic/apologetic PRATTs and if the argument is poorly-received because of its poor quality, they'll just blame their target's "sinfulness" or God's will - anyone but themselves.
