When Hamas killed women and children in Israel, practically the whole world called them animals and pure evil. Now, Israel is doing that very thing to Gaza, and all the world can do is beg them not to be the same kind of monsters they think they're fighting.

Here's an excerpt from the article:
A growing number of nations, global rights groups and organizations are calling on Israel to respect international rules of war, urging the protection of civilians’ lives, and not to target hospitals, schools and clinics in densely inhabited Gaza. Many families, some of whom were already internally displaced, are now crammed into an even smaller portion of the 140-square-mile territory.

Hamas rocket attacks on Israel have meanwhile continued into the weekend. A barrage on the city of Sderot saw residents being evacuated to other areas of the country on Sunday.

Gaza is suffering shortages of every kind, including body bags, say aid groups. Internet access, through which residents communicate their plight to the world, is shrinking. Food stocks are dwindling, the World Food Programme has warned.

Hospitals have run out of painkillers and many Gazans are beginning to suffer from severe dehydration due to lack of drinking water, according to medical NGO Medecins sans Frontieres.

“The situation is very difficult…today for two hours we searched for drinkable water—even drinkable water is not available anymore,” said Dr. Mohammed Abu Mughaiseeb, the organization’s deputy medical coordinator in Gaza. “There is food. No electricity, no pumping of normal water as well, the hospitals are barely working… They are bombing all day. We don’t know what’s going to [happen] tomorrow and where we are going.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office told CNN Sunday that Israel has restored water to southern Gaza, where many Gazans have been told to flee. However, the director of the Water Authority there said he didn’t know if water was available because the electricity necessary to pump water for use had not been restored.

Here's an excerpt from the article:
There is no moral equivalency.

Israel has dropped leaflets ahead of time, asking civilians to move southward while they root out Hamas in the North... No such advanced warning was given to Israeli civilians... In fact, Israeli civilians were deliberately targeted, including children, and women, innocent civilians were abducted, almost exclusively, as opposed to military personnel.

There is *NO* moral equivilency.

Also, water does not require electricity. If you don't believe me, turn off all your breakers and then see if your water faucet works (it does).

...Water flow is achieved through pressure and gravity, not pumps.

Shouldn't the onus be Hamas to stop setting up launching sites and armories in and near hospitals and schools?

Hamas is basically using westernized "civilized" rules of war against their opponents, while not following any of those rules themselves.

It'd be like if there was a rule stating "police aren't allowed to conduct armed drug trafficking raids within 100 feet of a school", and then all of drug lords set up their operations in school-adjacent properties to make them immune from police action.

The original request by Israel was quite reasonable...

"Release the hostages, and we'll turn the electricity back on"

The ball's been in Hamas's court on that one.

You can shout, "no moral equivalency" all you like. That doesn't change reality. Israel is bombing civilians. They're bombing hospitals, schools, and clinics (the very thing Hamas did) to the point that it's becoming embarrassing to the whole world at how blatantly immoral their response is.

It's a horrifying perversion of what the Children of Israel were always meant to be; a nation of priests serving their God, not ignoring his will. No wonder Jesus told them their kingdom would be taken from them and instead given to others who would actually make it fruitful.

Jesus, come back soon!

Not true. Israel has so far bombed military targets, not what you claim.

...Perhaps it would be best if you post current links to back up your statements, as proof, because I feel like you're just saying anything you can think of to 'paint a picture' that doesn't exist.

Where do you come up with this stuff, you make it sound like they are targeting them when they are not.

Did you read the article?
Yes.

Now show me where your article says: "Israel is bombing civilians. They're bombing hospitals, schools, and clinics (the very thing Hamas did)"...

...Or admit that you made it up.

Almost all of the drinking water in Gaza is bottled or brought in by tanker trucks. Most of the water flowing through the pipes is undrinkable. Even if the municipal water was drinkable, if the electricity is turned off in all of Gaza, the water will not flow. It takes electricity to pump water into water towers, and once the water in the towers is gone, there's no more pressure and no more water flowing into the homes.

It is still a little early for the Antisemitic threads, give it a week or two and the whole international community led by the US will be back to the usual, bashing of the Jews.

Criticism of Israel‘s actions is not antisemitism.
