Hi Mannysee:
So I'm reading through a couple of the dispensational threads. Beginning to see from the pro side recurring responses talking about Israel "in the future" / "when Christ returns".
First of all, Christ connected His "
Son of Man" coming (
Matt. 24:30-31) directly to the "
END of the Age" (
Matt. 24:3+). Most professing Dispensationalists want to sit Jesus Christ down on an 'earthly' throne for a temporary kingdom period that lasts only 1000 years, even though Christ Himself says that His Kingdom is
NOT of this world or even of this realm:
Jesus answered, "(
A)My kingdom is
not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is
not [
a]of this realm."
John 18:36.
Jesus Christ's Kingdom is 'not' of this world, or even of this realm, because His Throne Is In Heaven (
my Topic).
My question is, does the whole dispensational teaching (in its various forms) hang on the idea that when Christ returns he won't judge all mankind, raise the dead, "the earth and it works will be burned up", bring in "new heavens and a new earth", etc. etc.
Dispensationalists disagree about when our mystery church began (Pentecost, Acts 9, Acts 13, Acts 28, etc.), and they disagree even more about end time topics. Jesus Christ returns at the 'END of the Age (Matt. 24:30-31) to begin the Judgment:
The Judgment
"But when (
A)the
Son of Man comes in His glory, and
all the angels with Him [
Matt 24:30-31], then (
B)He will sit on
His glorious throne [
Rev. 20:11-15]. All the nations will be (
C)gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, (
D)as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep (
E)on His right, and the goats (
F)on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, (
G)inherit the kingdom prepared for you (
H)from the foundation of the world."
Matthew 25:29-31.
Starting from the left: The Prophets and the Law prophesied until John (
Matt. 11:13), until we see John the Baptist , Christ and the Twelve sent to preach the "
Gospel of the Kingdom" (
Matt. 3:2, 4:23, 10:5-7 respectively). Each offering ended in 'rejection' (
Matt. 17:12,
Romans 11:7) and the ultimate '
transgression' (
Romans 9:30-32) that leads God to send Paul to the Gentiles with the '
Gospel of the Grace of God' (
#2) for gathering members to the mystery '
Body of Christ' (
Church #2). That is what this '
Dispensation of God's Grace' (in red) is all about that is standing between the '
Two Veils' in the "
Holy Place" of
God's Living Word (
diagram).
Find '
Today' on the
Prophecy/Mystery Timeline to realize that the Rapture (
1Thes. 4:16-17) is about to take place where the Body of Christ puts on immortality (
1Cor. 15:51-53) and Satan (with all the members of his evil heavenly body of
'darkness') is chained for
1000 years (
Rev. 20:2). The blue area of the diagram above marks the Kingdom Dispensation where '
David' (
Eze. 34:22-25) sits on an earthly throne and rules for that same 1000 Year period. This is the time that the '
Gospel of the Kingdom' goes to the whole world (
Matt. 24:14) BEFORE the Son of Man's return at the
END of the Age (Matt. 24:30-31) to Judge the living and the dead.
The New Heavens (in yellow/gold) and New Earth (in blue) represent the New Creation of Revelation 21:1+ that finds
David again sitting on an earthly throne and this time '
forever' (
Eze. 37:24-28); after the Lord God (Christ) raised him from the dead yet again (
Jer. 30:9).
In other words do dispensational people hold that when Christ returns the whole of creation won't be renewed and enter the eternal state?
This creation is remade thousands of times between each and every age for all the '
ages to come' (
Eph. 2:7) marking a Judgment for another set of people in the
New Earth 'and' angels in the New Heavens (world and angels =
1Cor. 6:2-3 =
diagram).
In Christ Jesus,
