Of course they are God never changes: yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Yes you can either fall on Jesus or He will fall on you. Israel will be delivered by Jesus. God does not cause bad things to happen in your life. The tester tests you. Your accuser, The Lord rebuke him.True, He never changes. So if He judged and punished them for unfaithfulness and disobedience in the past, He will continue to do so.
As He does with all of us.
Romans 11:26The only apples of His eye are those who are faithful and obedient to His Son.
Both Jew and Gentile.
So how long is it before a generation passes away? Its when the last person from that generation dies. And since a few people today can live to be 100 years or more, its possible the end of the tribulation could be as long 90 or even 100 years from May 14, 1948, before the last person from that generation passes away.
They also say that the state we call Israel today was created by God. Yet it was secular non-Christian Jewish Zionists with a goal to create a homeland for the Jews who started the Zionist movement in the late 1800's. After the end of WWI, which saw the land then called Palestine fall into the hands of the British, Lord Balfour promised part of the land which thousands of years before had been called "Judea and Samaria", to the Jews. They say that Israel is Gods time clock and they have always added 70 years onto 1948 , however 2018 came and went. But Psalm 90:10 says , ( The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty. ) Now given that we now live longer due to modern tech and meds , I personally would have taken the 80 years.
Yes I understand that, but the Hebrews are returning to Israel.
The United Nations (hardly "God") finally agreed to partition Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state in 1947, leaving most of the land allotted by God to the Jews (Judea) and Samaria out of "Israel" (the West Bank). Yet they say it was the hand of God?
Jerusalem, in terms of the 1947 U.N resolution, was also to be an international city belonging to neither state, and governed by the U.N. When the Arabs who lived in the "Israeli" part of Palestine revolted, the war which ensued between the Jews and the Arabs resulted in who knows how many thousands of Palestinian Arabs fleeing "Israel" and others being kicked out by the Israeli army.
That war became called Israel's "War of Independence" by guess who? The Jews. The Arabs don't call it that. It certainly wasn't their "war of Independence".
The united Nations is not God and in creating a Jewish state while ignoring the population demographics and the protest of the Arabs living there and the Arab world in general, the U.N created a huge mess that the finest diplomats of the world have not been able to sort out until now.
So is this all God's doing? If God brings His people back into the land they would, I would think, first have to acknowledge their Messiah? Is God going to bless the state after 70 years or 100 years or 500 years while they remain in unbelief and in rebellion against God through their continued rejection of their Messiah?
If Israel is a time-clock of anything, it's a time-clock to Armageddon. Just because God allows man to do what man purposes in his heart to do, doesn't mean that it's God doing it.
Why wouldn't they? They have a state now and antisemitism is rife everywhere. How was that state created though? By whom? By God? Or was it the goal of certain wealthy Jews which was finally realized?Yes I understand that, but the Hebrews are returning to Israel.
Romans 11:26
The Lord works in mysterious ways. Why wouldn't they? They have a state now and antisemitism is rife everywhere. How was that state created though? By whom? By God? Or was it the goal of certain wealthy Jews which was finally realized?
If everyone hated Germans all round the world I would also move to Germany.
Your talking about two separate promises. The promise to the Hebrews, and the promise to believers. The children of the promise counted for the seed. Two promises both fulfilled in Jesus. Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism.Romans 2:28,29; Romans 9:6-8,27; Romans 11:1-5,26.
Two Israels.
Romans 9
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
1. Of Israel:
Not all Israel
The children of the flesh
Not the children of God
Not the children of the promise
Not counted for the seed
2. All Israel:
Not of Israel
Not the children of the flesh
The children of God
The children of the promise
Counted for the seed
Only one of these Israels shall be saved.
Romans 11
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Only the faithful obedient "all Israel", comprised of the believing remnant of Israel (Romans 9:27, 11:1-5), and believers from among the Gentiles (Romans 11:11), shall be saved.
Your talking about two separate promises. The promise to the Hebrews, and the promise to believers. The children of the promise counted for the seed. Two promises both fulfilled in Jesus. Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism.
Romans 11Yes, all of the promises of God are fulfilled in Christ, and in those who are in Christ (Galatians 3:16,28,29; Galatians 4:28; Romans 4:28; 2 Corinthians 1:20).
There are no promises for those who are not in Christ.
Possibly, but I think many Christians of a certain group (people who I personally think are wonderful people) place too much emphasis on what certain Rabbis want to believe about 70 years etc. It's not even all the Jews who believe all that stuff. Not even nearly all Israeli Jews. But when it comes to one state out of 195 countries in the world, many Christians are looking for the hand of God in every detail of whatever happens in it, though the majority of its population doesn't even believe in Christ. What about those states where Christ's people are persecuted, and what about those states where Christ is openly glorified by who knows how many hundreds of thousands or millions (i.e the USA)? Would God's hand not be upon them too? What's the difference between a Hindu state that rejects Christ and a Muslim state that rejects Christ and a Jewish state that says God has no Son?The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Romans 11
The whole chapter discusses exactly what your talking about. Romans 10:21 Romans 11:1Yes, Romans 11 as well (quoted previously).
Yes I agree that just as Judah and his brothers who had sold Joseph into slavery at Judah's instigation were forgiven by Joseph, who is a Biblical type of Jesus, so we will see the prodigal son return and the other brother who had served his father all the years becoming angry and jealous when a great banquet is held in honor of the prodigal son,A Hebrew people who reject Christ our waiting for the second coming together. When He comes both promises will be fulfilled.
