Appearance: Isliel is small and somewhat pixie-like in appearance (at about 5'0" and 96 lbs), with straight, fiery red hair that flares out at her shoulders, hazel-green eyes and a light dusting of freckles. She does not advertise her allegiance-- instead she wears everyday healer garb or civilian gear, and generally passes unrecognized by other cultists unless she wants to be recognized.
Personality: Isliel is selfish and cruel to the core of her being, but masks it all beneath a facade of kindness and innocence. She is fiendishly intelligent and excellent at deception, and is doubly dangerous because of her cold-hearted practicality and absolute lack of conscience. She thinks nothing of killing others or manipulating them for her own purposes and probably enjoys the feeling of power she gets. Quite often she does things strictly for her own twisted amusement and has a sadistic streak that's a continent wide.
Abilities: A healer, Isliel now uses her medical knowledge to harm-- she knows precisely where the body's weakest points are and uses her mana to affect those, and can cripple even a very strong opponent within moments without lifting a finger. However, she is quite frail physically and would not hold up well in a melee battle.
Background: Isliel is Teglon's fiancee, who disappeared from his life a year and a half ago and has now resurfaced in Peria. She was formerly known as a woman of great faith in God; it is unknown whether something happened to break her faith or whether she just wasn't a Christian in the first place-- for all anyone knows, she could've been a cultist all along.
At the moment she is simultaneously working with Sal Kadian Intelligence in Peria and advancing the Shardalonian agenda; very few on either side suspect her ties with the other. (Those who do are likely to have something nasty happen to them.) She is quite high-ranking in the Zantukite/Shardalonian circle, but maintains a lower profile than the majority of the other Raibens. Her rank indicates that she had to have been in the cult for far longer than the time she was gone.
Her past is something of a mystery-- Isliel seems to have few if any family ties; her father is unknown, her mother has been dead for over 25 years, and her relations with the rest of her family have been chilly at best. About all that can be gathered is that there was a lot of general unpleasantness back there somewhere.
Objectives: Isliel is quite shadowy in her objectives-- not many people know what she's about, and her motives are nearly unfathomable. It can't be anything good, though...
Modus Operandi: Deception, misdirection, persuasion, coercion, and betrayal. She coolly eliminates those who stand in her way, and worms her way into the good graces and confidence of her enemies to set them up for the deathblow and plays the innocent healer when misfortune inevitably falls.
Miscellaneous: Isliel despises water travel, as she gets seasick easily, and also dislikes heights because they give her very bad vertigo. Additionally, storms make her extremely nervous. Years of self-conditioning have made her better able to deal, but under such circumstances she is still quite miserable, and in spite of her best efforts she occasionally has panic attacks. She has a yen for black tea, which is usually strongly brewed, always unsweetened, and occasionally she'll add other things to it.
