CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I toured the Sinai in 1999 for two days by taxi cab. I negotiated the price before setting out. The place seemed peaceful then. I met a waiter in a restaurant who had been to the US and knew English. After 9/11 Al Qaeda or other extremists were actively recruiting and blew up two resort hotels there. I would not go there now.

we pray on behalf of Your people who are prosecuted in the lands of East Africa by insurgents.
Be gracious to us, O God, for man tramples on us; all day long attackers oppresses us; our enemies trample on us all day long, for many attack us proudly. When we are afraid, we put our trust in You. In God, whose word we praise, in God we trust; we shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to us?
All day long they injure our cause; all their thoughts are against us for evil. They stir up strife, they lurk; they watch our steps, as they have waited for our life. For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God!
You have kept count of our tossings; put our tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book? Then our enemies will turn back in the day when we call. This we know, that God is for us.In God, whose word we praise, in the LORD, whose word we praise, in God we trust; we shall not be afraid. What can man do to us?
We will render thank offerings to You. For you have delivered our souls from death, yes, our feets from falling, that we may walk before God in the light of life.

Lord we pray for the displaced of East Africa. Bless the ministries providing help to these groups. Deliver them from evildoers...
Help Sei Wang in Laos with her needs. Convict her husband and bring him to faith in Christ.
