Is Yoga Satanic?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, one of my Christian friends send me this post about how Yoga is Satanic: Yogic Is Satanic : JoyofSatan666

There are also numerous posts about how Shiva and Dionysus are also Satan, etc etc.
I'm afraid because a lot of Christians do Yoga and I wanted to try it out, I read the post I linked, it goes in-depth on how Yoga is satanic. Is yoga really Satanic ?

Yoga doesn't have to include Eastern mystic philosophies or beliefs. It can be useful for stretching, flexibility and balance.

This sounds like a far fetched accusation. There is a spiritual dimension to yoga but in the US it is relatively minor and doesn't generally have any particular religious conotation per se. It's just about having a good attitude. At least in the types of yoga classes I have been involved with.

While Yoga came form of meditation in South Asia, modern yoga in the United States is purely for exercise, there's nothing remotely spiritual about it.

What happens if you don't even know yoga and accidentally strike a " satanic pose " while getting out of bed or playing with your cat ?

Something done accidentally is certainly not Satanic. Sin or evil involves a conscious deliberate choice.

Yes, that was its origin. Our number system includes the concept of zero. It was a wonderful invention but alak and alas it is Hindu

There is a religious denomination that would advise against doing any physical exercise that might even be remotely associated with pagan religious beliefs because according to its view-it might automatically open up a gateway into the spirit realm and allow the demons residing there to immediately start pouring through and start going straight for your neck.

The origin of yoga does come from hinuism...india...
i clean carpet and have cleaned houses with hindu shrines...trust me this is demonic....
I have to pray in the Spirit everytime I am around those idols..it is ancestral worship or something........
Also visited many shrines in China with 10-15 foot idols...insnence...strange

I try to talk to my mom and wife and say no go with the american yoga....
You cant take a false religion and sanctify it........

We tried to do that with halloween.....Oh shudn't bring that up.....

I was in Africa a few years ago and my daughter and I bought a few little carved animals at the market.....I had terible demonic attacks at night for 2 days....

One of the Africans didnt know what I was going through told me not to buy specifically the carved animals I had bought......said the witch doctors put spells on them and sell them to others........how could i argue with this ..it must have been from God...

I got rid of them imediately and slept through the night the rest of the week.....

I also had some things back home I had bought years earlier that I felt God said to get rid of from Africa......

Dont mess with this stuff...when in doubt throw it out...!!!!!!

Do not give place to the enemy...

There are a lot of things that are in the world that have past histories that aren't godly.
I don't buy many trinkets when I travel, but if I did want to buy something that might have been cursed, I'd pray and by the power of the blood of Christ break any evil that was associated with it.
After all demons don't really want to live in an object. They want to live in flesh bodies. So intrinsically demons don't hang out in objects. Also we can give an object power over us. Just as we can give a ritual power over us. When I do tantra grounding exercises and the leader talks about putting roots down into mother earth. I think about my roots are in Christ and how God is my rock and Christ is my foundation. Even how the earth was created by God for me to live on. In yoga I thank God for my body and pray this these stretches are loving my body so that it will function better.

trust me I wouldnt have believed all this idol-demon stuff if it didnt take me 10 years to clean it all out of my house.......from what I bought in Africa.......Kenya....
i was raised COC and was taught nothing but secation........

I had messed up dreams for years...continual spiritual warfare....
and 1 by 1 God told me to remove faces, chess sets....
obiously all of these are not cursed by witch doctors...but you never know....

Our Pastors wife told me a missionary brought trinkets back from Japan....had sickness cancer and almost ruined his marrieage......till he removed them...

When an African from Zambia told me that wich doctors put spells specifically on elephant carvings I would have thought he was nuts.....unless I had gone through this cleaning out process for 10 years....
I had bought one just 1 day earlier and were having messed up dreams....
sure enough I threw it away that night and slept good all week.......

Like I said....when in doubt thow it out...!!!!!

I've heard those stories since I was a kid. I would say of God says to get ride of something then get rid of it. I've also heard the same things about music that isn't Christian. Well, I've listened to Christian music and secular music all my life. No demons, no problems from it including no dream etc. Heck they even got so self righteous they told stories about African men saying the music was demonic. I remember being in Bible college chapel services and in one week hearing a sermon about that. Then a couple days later having this pianist play the piano as it it was a rock guitar for 45 mins. Everyone was like that was amazing, couldn't say enough about how talented this guy was. I'm think he just rocked and rolled for 45 mins and 2 days ago we heard a sermon about how we would get demons if we listened to that stuff. So I had to conclude they didn't understand.

before I was fully committed to Christ I used to do drugs ...mainly marijuuana and listen to old rock and role.......beatles..........

That drug rock n role stuff messed me up....
I know lot of guys that really got messed up on the drug rock n role stuff...seemed to go together.....
I cant listen to 2 seconds of that stuff without satan putting that song in my head for 3 days.....
almost like an alcoholic.......
hear the song at night in my dreams till I pray or get other brothers to pray for me.....
Most of that rock music was written when these guys were on drugs...
Some of these guys actually worshiped the devil....ex.....Queen....others

Like I tell my girls even if it is not the music just listen to the words.......
usually always about drinking or sex or worldy relationionships almost always.......
One of my daughters so far listens to me the other doesnt........

I knew a lot of christians who burned all their music when they were born again......
Remeber satan was the musician in heaven before he fell.....

When in doubt throw it out......

I do understand that some people are triggered by the sinful things they did in their past. A GF of mine is in AA and has been for like 25 years. They have seen so many people that can't even take one sip or they are right back where they were. Of course there are many other things that can cause some people to fall right back to where they were. I'm all for them being abstinent in their behavior.
I've never had an addictive personality and spend time with something for a year or two and then move on to something else. Usually has to do with what I'm studying. I spent like 3 years studying prophesy and the Bible. At that point I figured I had learned all I wanted to learn and haven't really returned to that topic in at least 15 years now. Another time I started spending time hiking. Now I'd always hiked, but usually its was a few times a year. For a few years it was very other weekend I was off hiking. Haven't done much of that in the last 4. But hope to return to that more this summer and fall.
So I think its all about knowing ones relationships with God and who we are as people. This is why the Bible doesn't have many hard and fast rules. Its we are fee in Christ but if it offends someone or causes to stumble then ya, stop. Otherwise, praise God for all things are good and all things are lawful.

Yea i had a good friend of mine years ago. That said God had delivered him from alcohol and he could now drink a beer from time to time which we did.....

Years later he called me and said he had backsliden from church and returned back to alcoholism....

I havent drank a sip of alcohol since....
Also my dad was a complete tee totaler as my grandad was an alcoholic.......

I think we all have temptations in certain areas......

JEsus sqid lead me not into temptation......

Bible also says do not be companion with an angry man lest you learn his ways.....
Could be gossip. Lusts...........

One of my weaknesses is criticism......
Comes from my family and there are certain family mebers i can only hang around for a certain length of time. Or i will pick up on that grippey bad complaining attitude.........

So yea i believe God can deliver you completly from drugs or alcohol......
But we have a saying in texas....
